A hydraulically actuated diverter includes a top portion defining a plurality of outlet ports and a bottom portion defining a fluid inlet and being coupled to the top portion to form a diverter chamber. A diverter disk is positioned in the diverter chamber and can move along an axial direction between a first position and a second position. The diverter disk has one or more apertures and may be rotated about the axial direction to selectively place the one or more apertures in fluid communication with the plurality of outlet ports. When water flows through the fluid inlet, the diverter disk moves to the second position and forms a fluid seal with the top portion. To reduce noise resulting from the diverter disk striking the top portion, a strike pad is coupled to and extends from the top portion toward the diverter disk.

A dishwashing appliance having a static jet assembly is provided herein. The dishwashing appliance may include a tub defining a wash chamber, a pump, and a spray assembly. The pump may be configured to deliver a wash fluid into the wash chamber. The spray assembly may be housed within the wash chamber of the tub in fluid communication with the pump to receive wash fluid therefrom. The static jet assembly may be disposed within the wash chamber and include a static body. The static body may extend about an exterior hole. The static body may define an interior passage and a jet aperture in fluid communication with the pump. The jet aperture may be defined in fluid communication between the interior passage and the wash chamber.

A hydraulically actuated diverter for selectively controlling a flow of wash fluid in a dishwashing appliance is provided. The hydraulically actuated diverter includes a top portion and a bottom portion that are coupled together to form a diverter chamber. A shaft of a diverter valve is slidably received within a channel defined by the bottom portion of the diverter. The shaft and the channel define an annular gap that allows the shaft to slide and rotate within the diverter chamber. The shaft defines an alignment member positioned within the annular gap to prevent the shaft from moving out of alignment with the channel, reducing the likelihood of excessive friction and binding of the diverter valve.

A roller assembly for an appliance such as e.g., a rack assembly of a dishwashing appliance is provided. The roller assembly is connected to e.g., the rack of the appliance. The roller assembly includes a roller that is carried upon a primary axle into which a secondary axle is received. One or more such rollers can be used with each roller assembly. The construction can provide improved strength over conventional designs such as e.g., where the roller is directly connected to a wire member. Certain embodiments can also provide aesthetic benefits in that the rollers can be partially or completely hidden depending upon the viewing angle.

A dishwasher appliance is provided with a silverware basket. The silverware basket is configured for mounting to a rack assembly of the dishwasher appliance. With the silverware basket mounted to the rack assembly, a handle of the silverware basket permits a user to selectively remove the rack assembly from a wash chamber of the dishwasher appliance or selectively dismount the silverware basket from the rack assembly.

A dishwasher appliance with a tub that defines a wash chamber is provided. A rack assembly is received within the wash chamber and includes a projection that extends from a front of the rack assembly. The projection is configured to engage a door of the dishwasher appliance and position the rack assembly in a retracted position when the door is in a closed position.

A silverware basket for a dishwasher appliance is provided. The silverware basket is selectively mountable to a door of the dishwasher appliance, a rack assembly of the dishwasher appliance, or both. The silverware basket has a profile that is complementary to a contour of the door. The storage capacity of the silverware basket can be increased or maximized by matching the profile of the silverware basket to the contour of the door.

A support mechanism for height adjustability of a rack assembly or other drawer-like feature of an appliance such as e.g., a dishwashing appliance is provided. The support mechanism includes a track for controlling the movement of the rack between different vertical levels. For certain embodiments, a user can adjust the height of the rack assembly by lifting and/or lowering the rack assembly directly and without a requirement of simultaneously depressing or squeezing the support mechanism or items thereon.

A silverware basket for a dishwasher appliance is provided. The silverware basket appliance includes features for selectively securing a cover of the silverware basket in an open position. To selectively secure the cover in an open position, the silverware basket can include a pin with a noncircular cross-section that rotatably mounts the cover to the silverware basket or a recess defined by a brace that can receive a portion of the cover in the open position or both.
