A spring-based seat diaphragm may include at least one support diaphragm component. The at least one support diaphragm component may be transversely coupled to the first structural beam and the second structural beam. The spring-based seat diaphragm may include at least one spring. The at least one spring may be proximate to the at least one support diaphragm component. The at least one spring may be parallel to or positioned transverse to the at least one support diaphragm component between the first primary spreader and the second primary spreader. The at least one spring may include a plurality of bends configured to distribute user weight applied to a cushion installed on the aircraft seat over the spring-based seat diaphragm. The spring-based seat diaphragm may be configured to support an aft portion of the cushion. The first structural beam may be configured to support a forward portion of the cushion.

An aircraft tray table may include a body with a defined interior cavity, a personal electronic device support, and a magnification lens. The personal electronic device support may be configured to hold a personal electronic device when the personal electronic device support is in a support deployed position. The magnification lens may be configured to fit within the interior cavity when the magnification lens is in a lens stowed position. The magnification lens may include a lens configured to magnify content displayed on the personal electronic device held by the personal electronic device support when the magnification lens is in a lens deployed position. The personal electronic device support may be parallel to the magnification lens when the personal electronic device is in the support deployed position and the magnification lens is in the lens deployed position.

A ventilated seat assembly with active air circulation including a structural frame element, a cushion assembly supported by the structural frame element, a perforated dress cover, a conduit network embedded in the cushion assembly configured to direct air to at least one target region of the cushion assembly, an air mover coupled in fluid communication with the conduit network, and a controller operable for activating the air mover to cause air to flow through the conduit network to the at least one target region. In operation, the controller activates the air mover to flow air, such as unconditioned air, through the conduit network to be released through the dress cover in the at least one target region.

A step assembly installable in a structure such as a housing of an armrest assembly, the step assembly including a base attachable to the structure including a mounting plate having a low profile and a fixed receptacle to be received in the structure, a step plate pivotally attached along a first end to the base along a lower end of the receptacle, the step plate pivotable between a stowed position in which the step plate is housed within the fixed receptacle and a deployed position in which the step plate is outside of the fixed receptacle, the step plate having a first side for supporting a foot, and a release mechanism for releasing the step plate from the stowed position to the deployed position. An aircraft passenger seating unit and aircraft seating arrangements including seating units, each seating unit configured as a window-facing seating unit or as an aisle-facing seating unit. Each individual seating unit including first and second laterally adjacent seats mounted on a common platform and oriented at an angle to a longitudinal aircraft axis. A forwardmost point of each of the first and second seats, when in an upright sitting position, resides along a plane common to both the first and second passenger seats perpendicular to the longitudinal aircraft axis to allow longitudinal alignment of rows and increased seating density.

A dress cover installable over a seatback of a passenger seat and having an integrated adjustable lumbar support device is disclosed. In embodiments, the dress cover includes a fabric outer shell and a seat cushion within the outer shell. The lumbar support device is disposed inside a pocket set into the dress cover and corresponding to the lumbar area of the seat occupant. The pocket extends laterally between left-side and right-side slots, each slot held closed by a zipper within which a slider tracks up and down to adjust the lumbar support device. As the slider tracks along the zipper it opens and closes the zipper within the body of the slider, maintaining its slot in a closed configuration. By adjusting the sliders up or down, the occupant may adjust the position of the lumbar support device through the dress cover.

A system for heating and cooling a passenger seat utilizing a single unit for producing hot and cold conditioned air. The system includes a source of pressurized air, a vortex tube coupled to the source of pressurized air for producing hot and cold air streams, a duct network coupled to the vortex tube through a valve assembly, and a controller controlling passage of the flow of hot and cold air streams through the manifold assembly based on passenger selection. Conditioned air flow can be dispersed into a cushion assembly such as an interior of a spacer mesh component of the cushion assembly.

Three of the suites are adapted to be positioned in a longitudinally-offset position in relation to each other and defining respective ingress/egress paths to a cabin aisle extending along a longitudinal axis of the aircraft cabin adjacent the third suite. Two of the suites are positioned in a longitudinally-offset position in relation to each other and defining respective ingress/egress paths on the opposite side of the cabin aisle. At least some of the suites define an angular offset relative to the longitudinal axis of the cabin aisle.

An aircraft passenger seat configured to facilitate ergonomic alignment of a passenger while in a sleeping position, including a seat bottom; and a seatback including a central opening corresponding to a shoulder region of a passenger, and a sleep support assembly mounted within the central opening, the sleep support assembly including an adjustable support member spanning a central portion of the seatback, where the adjustable support member is configured for at least one of translation and deformation; where, when the seat bottom is aligned with the seatback in a lie-flat seating position, a load provided by the shoulder region of the passenger, at least in a side-sleeping position, causes translation and/or deformation of the adjustable support member toward a floor of an aircraft cabin, thereby facilitating ergonomic alignment of the spine.
