A drawer-type dishwasher includes a dispenser mounted to one of front and opposing side walls of a basin. The basin is slidably supported in an outer body of the dishwasher. The dispenser includes a main body portion, first and second reservoirs and an actuator. Each of the first and second reservoirs includes upper and lower openings. The first reservoir includes a cover that selectively closes the upper opening, while the lower opening is opened by the actuator. The second reservoir is provided with first and second lids pivotally mounted to the main body portion. The first lid is opened to allow loading of wash aid, while the second lid is opened during a wash operation to release the wash aid. After the wash operation concludes, the second lid is closed, causing the first lid to open allowing detergent to again be loaded into the second reservoir.

Dispenser for a drawer-type dishwasher

A bracket is provided for mounting an object to a tub of a dishwasher. The bracket is mounted on the annulus edge of the pump opening in the bottom of the tub adjacent the pump seal ring. No other fasteners are used to secure the bracket to the tub. The bracket is mounted on the tub before the pump is installed. In one embodiment a thermostat is pivotally mounted on the bracket so as to maintain substantially flush engagement with the tub. In a second embodiment, a wire harness extends through a loop of the bracket for support adjacent the tub.

A dishwasher tub is supported and retained on a frame. The rear legs of the frame include lower brackets which support the tub and upper brackets which retain and clamp the tub against movement during shipping. The lower brackets are interconnected by a brace to provide enhanced stability to the frame. The upper brackets and lower brackets are connected together by a male hook on one bracket received in a female slot in the other bracket.

A secondary filter of the present invention is adapted to provide for secondary filtering of wash water that has already been filtered by a primary filter to further remove very fine particles and therefore reduce the deposit of particles on the dishes being washed. The secondary filter is comprised of an annular chamber having an input port in communication with the pump and an output port in communication with the drain. The top of the annular chamber includes a plurality of openings covered by a fine mesh to allow wash water to pass but not fine particles. While the dishwasher is draining, any wash water and particles in the annular chamber will be flushed out through the output port.
