The invention relates to a method for assembling a crash-active head support () of a vehicle seat, whereby the structure of the head support () is initially assembled from a rear and a front bearing shell and is then upholstered. The rear bearing shell () and the front bearing shell () are equipped with components () and then the equipped bearing shells () are rigidly connected together. An impact element () is coupled thereto thus forming a quadruple joint.

Method for assembling a crash-active head support

In a vehicle seat, in particular a motor vehicle seat, a sensor device () is arranged between the superstructure of the vehicle seat and the seat rail () of the vehicle seat, in order to measure forces transmitted from the superstructure into the seat rail (). The sensor device () can be positioned at least partially inside the seat rail ().

In the case of a head restraint () for a vehicle seat, with a support (), at least two rockers () which are arranged movably on the support () and are pivotable about horizontal spindles (), an impact element () which is coupled to the rockers () and, with the rockers () and the support (), forms at least one four-bar linkage (), and a spring () as an energy accumulator which drives the four-bar linkage () in the event of a crash, so that the impact element () extends forward out of a starting position into a crash position, at least one leg () of the spring () forms one of the rockers.

In a belt locking device for a vehicle seat, in particular a motor vehicle seat, having a moveably attached belt lock (), a tightening unit () supported on a structure-fixed support element (), and a transmission element () acting between the tightening unit () and the belt lock (), wherein, in the event of a crash, the tightening until () pulls the belt lock () from an initial position into a crash position by way of the transmission element (), the position of the tightening unit () can be changed in a longitudinal direction of the transmission element () relative to the support element ().

In a headrest () for a vehicle seat, having a carrier (), at least one upper and lower linkage () linked to the carrier (), which can be pivoted around horizontal axles (), a impact element () linked to the linkages () which forms at least one four-bar linkage () with the linkages () and the carrier (), and an energy storage device (), the energy storage device () driving the four-bar linkage () in the event of a crash, so that the impact element () comes out forward from an original position into a crash position that is locked against a backward movement by a crash lock, the upper linkage () and the lower linkage () are unparallel with respect to one another.

In a seat cushion for a vehicle seat, the seat cushion is joined to a frame by a disengageable locking apparatus that has a wire spring engaging behind a mushroom head. The wire spring has two opposite limbs that at their one end are joined to one another and at their other end are open. In order to ensure a secure attachment, the two limbs of the wire spring may have at their open end an eye which engages behind a strut shaped onto the cushion shell.
