An active accelerator pedal for a vehicle includes a pedal position sensor configured to detect a position of a pedal lever of the active accelerator pedal and to convert the position into a pedal position signal. The active accelerator pedal further includes an actuator configured to output haptic feedback to the pedal lever. The active accelerator pedal further includes an actuator controller configured to control the actuator. The pedal position sensor is configured to transmit pedal position signals to a central engine controller of the vehicle the engine controller is configured to control drive of the vehicle using the central engine controller, and the actuator controller is configured to receive a pedal position signal from the pedal position sensor.

A method and to a control device for controlling a haptic accelerator pedal in a motor vehicle includes displacing a pedal lever in an actuation direction between a rest position and a maximally actuated position. The pedal lever is configured to be excited by an actuator by exerting a counter force against the actuation direction to generate a haptically perceivable signal. A current position of the pedal lever relative to a current position of the actuator is determined outside the phases for generating the haptically perceivable signal, and the actuator is subsequently controlled in such a manner that the actuator actively follows a change in the determined position of the pedal lever. The positional control is configured to prevent interfering influences on the pedal lever by the actuator.

Method and control device for controlling a haptic accelerator pedal of a motor vehicle by means of a position control

A method for controlling a haptic accelerator pedal in a motor vehicle includes determining a current rate of change of the pedal at which a pedal lever of the pedal changes its position between a first position of rest and a second position of maximum activation when the pedal lever is moved in an activation direction. The determined current rate of change of the pedal is compared with a predefined limiting value for the rate of change of the pedal. The actuator is activated if the determined current rate of change of the pedal is lower than the limiting value for the rate of change of the pedal. The pedal is excited by means of the actuator by applying an opposing force counter to the activation direction to generate a haptically perceptible signal if the actuator is activated when an activation condition occurs.

An arrangement for reading a sensor element in a vehicle includes a sensor element. The sensor element has at least one analog signal output. The arrangement further includes a first control unit. The signal output is connected to the at least one first signal input. The signal output is further connected to the at least one second signal input using a voltage divider.

A method and a control device for controlling a haptic acceleration pedal in a motor vehicle includes determining a foreseeable signal position in which a haptically perceivable signal is foreseeably to be generated by the acceleration pedal at a future time. The signal position is configured to be located between a rest position and a maximally actuated position within the shifting range of the pedal. While the pedal is located in a current position between the rest position and the foreseeable position, an actuator that is configured to generate a haptically perceivable signal on the acceleration pedal is arranged in such manner that the actuator is in operational connection with the acceleration pedal when the acceleration pedal has reached the foreseeable position. The configuration results in a prompt generation of a haptically perceivable signal and a reduced energy consumption for the actuator.

Method and control device for controlling foreseeable haptically perceivable signals in an acceleration pedal of a motor vehicle

In the case of an actuator having a rotation angle sensor with a magnet, no satisfying solution has yet been found for the attachment of the magnet. The invention relates to an actuator having a rotation angle sensor, the magnet of the rotation angle sensor being provided with a plastic cover. The plastic cover and magnet may be easily connected to a first sensor part of the rotation angle sensor of the actuator. The actuator with the rotation angle sensor can particularly be used in motor vehicles.
