A testing apparatus for the detection ofbacteria in a liquid sample includes a sample tray and a lid member. The sample tray defines a planar surface and a plurality of wells recessed relative to the planar surface and is formed from a permeable, transparent material that is non-toxic tobacteria. The lid member includes an adhesive layer configured to be sealed to the planar surface of the sample tray and formed from a first permeable material, a breathable film layer disposed directly about the adhesive layer and formed from a second, different permeable material, and a backing layer disposed directly about the breathable film layer.

Multi-well sample testing apparatus and methods of sample testing using the same

A culture dish includes a base and a lid. The base includes a side wall and a concave floor that define a first interior volume open at a top end of the base. The base further includes an annular rim between the floor and a bottom end thereof. The lid includes a side wall and a ceiling that define a second interior volume open at a bottom end of the lid. The lid further includes an annular rim extending radially outwardly therefrom. An inner surface of the side wall of the lid is configured for slidable receipt about an outer surface of the side wall of the base to engage the lid about the base with the first and second interior volumes overlapping one another to define a sealed, combined internal volume bounded by the side walls of the base and the lid, the floor, and the ceiling.

Devices and methods facilitating sample testing

A sample testing apparatus includes a sample tray defining a planar surface and a plurality of wells recessed relative to the planar surface, and a lid member configured to be sealed about the planar surface of the sample tray. The lid member includes an adhesive layer configured to be sealed to the planar surface of the sample tray, a breathable film layer disposed about the adhesive layer, and a backing layer disposed about the breathable film layer. Methods of using the sample testing apparatus for testing a sample and kits to facilitate such testing are also provided.
