A method for determining phase currents for current control of an electric machine of a drive system for a motor vehicle is provided. Measured characteristics of the phase currents that are supplied to at least three phases of a set of phases of the electric machine and that are measured by at least three phase current sensors of a set of phase current sensors of the drive system are received. Zero crossings in the at least three measured phase current sensor-specific characteristics are identified, a phase current value of at least one other characteristic is determined, per characteristic, for at least one zero crossing. The phase current values are used for determining a characterization value, describing a gain factor of each phase current sensor, for the respective phase current sensor, and the phase currents for the current control are determined based on the characterization values of the phase current sensors.

A method for controlling a multiphase voltage signal in a closed-loop manner is provided. The multiphase voltage signal is supplied to at least one phase set of a stator of an electric machine of a drive system of a motor vehicle for the purpose of generating a torque-specific, rotary magnetic field. The method includes determining a fundamental space vector representing a fundamental of the voltage signal, determining at least one harmonic space vector representing a harmonic of the voltage signal, adding the fundamental space vector and the at least one harmonic space vector to form a summed space vector, determining whether the summed space vector exceeds a predetermined threshold value, and limiting the summed space vector in such a manner that the limited summed space vector falls short of the threshold value.

Method for controlling a multiphase voltage signal in a closed-loop manner, open-loop control device, drive system and motor vehicle

A drive system includes an electric machine with a rotor having an externally excited rotor winding, and a stator having stator winding sets, each with at least three stator windings; a control unit controlling the electric machine supply the rotor winding with a first current signal, and the stator windings with different current phases of a multi-phase second current signal, thus producing a rotary magnetic field generating a torque on the rotor; at least one inverter, the multi-phase current signal being provided based on the at least one inverter; and at least one rectifier providing a DC signal, the first current signal being based at least on the DC signal and on an AC harmonics component. Harmonics of a current phase of the multi-phase current signal are reduced based on the supply of the AC harmonics component.

Drive system having harmonics infeed

A method is provided for controlling a multi-phase electric machine, wherein a stator of the electric machine includes a first sub-system and a second sub-system having the same number of phases and separate star points. The method includes controlling an inverter device by way of space vector modulation in order to generate output voltages for each of the phases, and outputting the output voltages as pulse sequences, wherein each of the pulse sequences in the second sub-system is output inverted with respect to respective pulse sequence in the first sub-system.

Method for controlling a multi-phase electric machine by way of space vector modulation, control device, and drive arrangement

A drive control for a three-phase motor has an inverter with multiple switches for generating three-phase voltages on the windings of the three-phase motor, and a control device for controlling the switches of the inverter on the basis of pulse-width modulation. The control device is set up to control the switches in a switching period by using a switching pattern, wherein the switching pattern is composed of two active voltage space vectors and multiple null vectors, wherein the null vectors vary within the switching pattern.

Drive control for a three-phase motor

A method is provided for operating a rotating field machine of a motor vehicle, wherein at least two winding systems of the rotating field machine are supplied with current from an intermediate circuit via a transmission device having at least two switching units and wherein respective switching sequences for the switching units for supplying the winding system in question are defined. For the switching sequences, first switching states in which current is drawn from the intermediate circuit and second switching states in which no current is drawn are defined. The first switching states of the respective switching sequences are defined so as to be free of overlap. For at least one of the switching sequences, third switching states are defined, in which current is fed into the intermediate circuit. The third switching states are defined so as to overlap with the first switching states of the other switching sequence.

Method for operating a rotating field machine of a motor vehicle, transmission device, drive unit and motor vehicle

A control device for controlling the current of a rotating field machine of a motor vehicle, includes a current controller for determining a fundamental of an output voltage for a respective operating point, a controller for modulating the output voltage by driving a rectifier of the control device based on a pulse pattern optimized offline for the respective operating point, and a current sensor for sampling a harmonics-impacted output current, resulting from the pulse pattern that is used, of the rectifier and for returning the sampled output current to the current controller. Sampling times for sampling the output current are optimized offline in a manner specific to the pulse pattern and are predetermined as those times at which a deviation between the harmonics-impacted output current and a fundamental of the output current is less than a predetermined threshold value.
