An in-vivo device may be propelled in the gastrointestinal tract by a magnetic force such that the direction of the magnetic force applied to the in-vivo device follows, or is continually adapted to, the instantaneous spatial orientation of the in-vivo device. As the in-vivo device changes orientation in the gastrointestinal tract by the wall of the gastrointestinal tract, so does the magnetic force, to follow suit.

Method and system for moving an in-vivo device in the gastrointestinal tract

An in vivo sensing device and system may contain or be used in conjunction with an image sensor and a body lumen clearing element or agent. A method may enable clearing a body lumen for in vivo sensing while using the device of the invention.

A system and method for indicating transferability of a non-dissolvable target in-vivo device through the GI tract are described. The in vivo system includes a dissolvable in-vivo device which has two operational phases; an initial phase in which the device is of initial dimensions and a final phase in which the device is of final dimensions. In the initial phase the device can pass freely through a normally configured body lumen whereas it may not be able to pass freely through an abnormally configured lumen. In the final phase the device can pass freely through a body lumen even if it is abnormally configured.

The present invention discloses a system comprising an in vivo imaging device able to transmit in vivo data via a wireless medium, a receiver to receive in vivo data via the wireless medium, input means for entering to the receiver indications by a user, an indication storage unit to store the indications and to store data representing entering time at which the indications was entered by the user and information identifying in vivo data portions corresponding to that entering time, and a display unit to display the indications concurrently with the in vivo data portions corresponding to the entering time at which the indications was entered. The indications entered by the user may be indicative of activities of the user, condition of the user, environmental conditions next to the user and the like.

A system and method to model a tracking curve of an in-vivo device capturing in-vivo data of the colon is provided. Data analysis is performed on a raw tracking curve to identify one or more milestone data points that correspond to defined locations in the colon. A modeled path may be defined between and along the selected milestone data points. Raw tracking curve data may be translated to modeled data along the modeled path. The modeled tracking curve may be displayed alongside a streaming display of captured in-vivo image frames of the colon.
