The concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to quantum key distribution ('QKD') networking as a service. According to one aspect disclosed herein, a microservices controller can establish a plurality of quantum connections with a plurality of virtual quantum connection managers (“vQCMs”) deployed in association with a set of quantum user nodes (“QUNs”) in a QKD network. The microservices controller can receive a request to initialize the QKD network. The microservices controller can coordinate with the plurality of vQCMs to handle initialization of the QKD network. The microservices controller can receive a QKD service request from a QKD network operator. The microservices controller can invoke a plurality of microservices to handle the QKD service request.

A network device that operates as an analysis platform for analysis of event data records that can provide a flexible approach to event data record aggregation. For example, aggregation can be flexibly turned on or off and dynamically adjusted based on event record volume and other factors such as network capacity or throughput. Devices that are instructed to aggregate records can also be instructed to archive the raw records, e.g., to maintain a full fidelity log of events. Devices can further be instructed to utilize a mixed queue approach to determine an order to deliver those records that includes both older records and newer records.

Managing large volumes of event data records

When multiple alias records resolve to the same host name, the domain name server determines the single internet protocol address virtually hosts multiple domain names.

A method, non-transitory computer readable medium and apparatus for providing network security monitoring in a communications network are disclosed. For example, the method receives communications traffic associated with a sensor network from a sensor that is a member of the sensor network, analyzes the communications traffic to determine if an attack is occurring on the sensor network, and generates an alarm if the attack is occurring on the sensor network.

Method and apparatus for machine to machine network security monitoring in a communications network

A method for detecting potential phishing URLs includes extracting a URL from a document, analyzing the URL context, and comparing the URL to stored trusted URLs and stored known phishing URLs. The URL context includes anchor text and surrounding content associated with the URL. The method further includes generating a phishing alert based on the comparing and the analyzing.

Method of detecting potential phishing by analyzing universal resource locators

A method and apparatus for ignoring a duplicated alarm in a communications network are described. In one embodiment, at least one alarm message associated with at least one event is received. A determination of whether the at least one event exists in a database is subsequently made. The at least one event is recorded in the database if the at least one event does not exist in the database. Conversely, the at least one alarm message is suppressed if the at least one event exists in the database.

Method and apparatus for suppressing duplicate alarms

A method for locating and monitoring websites is provided that includes finding websites and contained hyperlinks, downloading a first snapshot of a web page taken at a first time, and downloading a second snapshot of the web page taken at a second time later than the first time. Method and system for improving website security

Requested content is monitored and metadata for the content is accessed and reported to an administrator communication device. The reported metadata may be indicative of a classification of the requested content, an address of the requested content, a title of the requested content, or portions (e.g., video images) of the requested content. Administrators are enabled to receive dynamic updates regarding requested and received content in real time and may block viewer requested content or send messages to the viewer that are related to the content.

Monitoring requested content

Methods, systems, and products answer questions using heuristics. A question and an input are received. A set of heuristic rules is retrieved, and the question is answered by evaluating an accuracy of each heuristic rule. Multiple accuracies from the set of heuristic rules are combined to produce a confidence level for the answer to the question.
