The example can also include a first exoskeletal hinge segment secured to the first portion and a second exoskeletal hinge segment secured to the second portion. The first exoskeletal hinge segment can define an arcuate tab that travels in an arcuate cavity defined by the second exoskeletal hinge segment to allow relative rotation between the first and second portions.

An intelligent assistant device is configured to communicate non-verbal cues. Image data indicating presence of a human is received from one or more cameras of the device. In response, one or more components of the device are actuated to non-verbally communicate the presence of the human. Data indicating context information of the human is received from one or more of the sensors. Using at least this data one or more contexts of the human are determined, and one or more components of the device are actuated to non-verbally communicate the one or more contexts of the human.

A keyboard key has a key portion that forms a cantilevered beam pivotable about an axis. A switch is disposed relative to the cantilevered beam, such that rotation of the cantilever beam about the axis causes depression of the switch. The switch is offset from an applied force-receiving portion of the key portion. A touch sensitive key also includes a touch sensor detecting contact with the key portion of the key. The invention can be extended such that the key portion is formed of transparent or semi-transparent material. The invention can also be extended to include touch sensitive areas on any portion of an upper case of the computer keyboard.

A charging device for charging a rechargeable power store is discussed. The charging device includes a housing having a top surface and a bottom surface. The charging device has a ledge extending from the top surface. The charging device also includes a power source and a pair of charging terminals positioned under the ledge and connected to the power source. The charging device is configured to engage terminals on a wireless input device.

The input device includes a primary alignment feature and a charging connection configured to correspond to the primary alignment feature and charging connection of the base. The input device may be placed on the base in any direction in a horizontal plane and rotated into a charging position in which both alignment features are connected.
