A connector includes a housing that supports a core (which can be magnetic) and provides an inner channel. A power terminal is positioned in the inner channel and provides an electrical path between two opposite sides of the housing. The housing further support a sensor that is positioned in a gap in the core. The housing provides electrical isolation between the core and the power terminal. The connector can therefore provide both a power terminal and the ability to sense current in an integrated design.

Connector with sensor

An LED array is thermally coupled to a heat spreader and a heat sink. The heat sink has a base and a plurality of fins extending from the base. Each fin includes a lower portion which extends outwardly from the base and downwardly from the heat spreader, and an upper portion that extends upwardly from the base and is offset from the lower portion so as to form a junction. An aperture may be provided through each junction to allow air to pass therethrough. The heat spreader may also have fins.

LED lamp

A holder assembly includes a cover and a frame that together can support a first and second terminal that can each include a two-way wire trap feature. The terminals can be configured with contacts that are configured to engage pads on a corresponding LED array. One or both of the terminals can also omit the contact and can be mounted so as to be in electrical contact with traces provided on the frame and the traces can be electrically connected to the anode and cathode of the LED array. The frame can further support circuitry that is configured to convert AC to DC.

Holder assembly

Control modules having connectors with compliant pin terminals for connection to a printed circuit board (PCB) are provided. The module housing can be made of a die cast metal to withstand harsh environments and have at least one open bay area for receiving a connector having compliant pin contacts for connecting the module to a PCB. A plurality of compliant pin terminal can have a push shoulders for providing an engagement surface for insertion of the terminals through passages in a connector housing, for positioning the connector relative to the die cast housing during the mounting the connector to the die cast housing, and to transfer the force away from the connector housing applied in connecting the PCB to the compliant pin tips. The connectors can be linear and exposed terminal surfaces can be sealed against the elements by a sealant. The passages of the connector housing can have at one end of the passages cross shaped portions to allow for a strengthened die tool which forms the small passages and chamfered sides at the opposite end of the passages for tight engagement with the terminals to prevent leak of sealant. The connectors can include a three-pronged compliant pin grounding terminal to increase the current flow.

Compliant pin control module and method for making the same

A connector-transport assembly for holding and transporting a electronic component includes a socket connector having a receptacle sized to receive the component therein and a transport carrier member. The socket receptacle includes two engagement arms formed therewith which are deflectable between first and second operative positions. In the first operative position, the engagement arms extend into the receptacle for contacting opposing exterior surfaces of the component, and in the second position the engagement arms are deflected away from the receptacle so as to not engage exterior surfaces of the component. The engagement arms have cam portions disposed thereon, and the carrier member includes actuating members disposed thereon in opposition to the socket connector engagement arm cam portions so that movement of either the socket connector or the carrier member will move the engagement arms between their first and second operative positions to release or engage the electronic component.

Connector packaging and transport assembly

An electrical connector includes a dielectric housing having a plurality of terminal-receiving passages. A plurality of terminals are inserted into the passages in an insertion direction. The terminals have tool-engaging surfaces on opposite sides thereof, exposed opposite the insertion direction, for engagement by appropriate terminal-engaging tooling. The terminals have outwardly spaced, inwardly facing retention surfaces for engaging outwardly facing retention surfaces of the housing for establishing a press-fit to retain the terminals in the housing. Surrounding walls are not required to hold the terminals in the housing.

Electrical connector with inserted terminals

An electrical connector includes a bail-type latch for latching the connector to a complementary mating connector. A housing has a base and laterally-spaced upstanding opposite sides. A generally U-shaped bail latch has a pair of spaced leg portions with upper ends joined by a bight portion and lower ends with inwardly directed shaft portions pivotally mounting the bail latch to the base for pivotal movement between and outwardly extending open position allowing mating of the connectors and an inwardly extending latching position. Knee portions of the leg portions grip the opposite sides of the housing to define a stored position for the bail latch. Stops on the shaft portions prevent movement of the bail latch outwardly beyond its open position. Redundant stop shoulders on the leg portions also prevent movement of the bail latch outwardly beyond its open position. The stops engage offset anchoring recesses in the housing to provide for polarization of a pair of bail latches at opposite ends of the housing. The bail latch has different latching portions for latching the connector to either one of a plurality of complementary mating connectors of different configurations.
