The present invention is directed to a composition for the conditioning of a dental mineralized surface and/or a dental implant and/or for increasing the hydrophilicity of a dental implant having a metal containing surface. The composition comprises EDTA in a concentration of about 21-55% by weight and hydrogen peroxide at a concentration of about 2-4% by weight. The composition of the invention may be used for the conditioning of mineralized dental surfaces and dental implant surfaces in order to remove e.g. biofilm, debris, bacteria, bacterial toxins etc and/or for increasing the hydrophilicity of an implant having a metal containing surface. The invention is also directed to a kit comprising the composition of the invention and a device to apply the composition to a surface in need of conditioning.

Conditioning composition

The present invention is directed to a composition for the conditioning of a dental mineralized surface and/or a dental implant and/or for increasing the hydrophilicity of a dental implant having a metal containing surface. The composition comprises EDTA in a concentration of 21-55% by weight and having a pH of 9.0 or above. The high pH of the composition allows more EDTA to be dissolved and the composition is useful for the conditioning of mineralized dental surfaces and/or surfaces of dental implants. The composition of the invention may thus be used for the conditioning of mineralized dental surfaces and dental implant surfaces in order to remove e.g. biofilm, debris, bacteria, bacterial toxins etc and/or for increasing the hydrophilicity of an implant having a metallic surface. The invention is also directed to a kit comprising the composition of the invention and a device to apply the composition to a surface in need of conditioning.

A kit having a) a cleaning device, the cleaning device () including an elongated base member () formed of at least two wires () being twisted with each other, and a plurality of bristles () fixed between the twisted wires () and extending away from the twisted wires (), whereby the bristles () are positioned in a cleaning section () at a first end () of the base member (); wherein the bristles () consist of titanium or a titanium alloy; and b) a container having a composition including ethylene diaminotetraacetic acid (EDTA) is disclosed. A method for cleaning and/or debriding and/or conditioning a biological mineralized surface and/or a biological soft tissue surface and/or a dental implant is also disclosed. Additionally, there is disclosed a method for preventing and/or treating a condition in a patient in need of such treatment.

Medical cleaning kit

Methods for making biomaterials for augmentation of soft and hard tissues, kits containing precursors for forming the biomaterials, and the resulting biomaterials are described herein. The biomaterials are formed from at least a first and a second precursor component. The first precursor component contains at least two nucleophilic groups, and the second precursor component contains at least two electrophilic groups. The nucleophilic and electrophilic groups of the first and second precursor components form covalent linkages with each other at physiological temperatures. The precursors are selected based on the desired properties of the biomaterial. In the preferred embodiment, the first precursor is a siloxane. Optionally, the biomaterials contain additives, such as thixotropic agents, radiopaque agents, or bioactive agents. In the preferred embodiment, the biomaterials are used to augment at least one vertebra of the spine (vertebroplasty).

Compositions for tissue augmentation

System for mixing four components including a first syringe arrangement and a second syringe arrangement each with two chambers for holding components. Each of the two respective chambers of the syringe arrangements are connected in a uniquely defined fashion due to specific means for connecting the syringe arrangements. A component held by one chamber is mixed with a component of the corresponding other chamber by transfer into the other chamber. After mixing and disconnecting the second syringe arrangement from the first syringe arrangement, the two component mixtures in the chambers of the first syringe arrangement are further mixed and discharged by means of a mixing device which is to be connected to the first syringe arrangement. The connecting means allows connecting of the mixing device to the first syringe arrangement only after removal of the second syringe arrangement and a portion of the connecting means.
