A composition contains a polyalkylene glycol and a fatty amine ethoxylate, the fatty amine ethoxylate having non-cyclic structure of structure (I). Where R is a linear, non-cyclic carbon-containing group with that is free of nitrogen, x and y are selected from a group consisting of zero and positive values provided that the sum of x and y are in a range of 8-20.

Lubricant compositions including a random or block copolymer first high-EO content polyalkylene glycol, a random copolymer second polyalkylene glycol based on propylene oxide and butylene oxide or a second polyalkylene homopolymer having propylene oxide or butylenes oxide units and at least one corrosion inhibitor selected from the group of sarcosines, amine phosphates, and calcium dinonylnaphthalenesulfonate/carboxylates are provided. Lubricant compositions for extreme conditions are also provided.

Corrosion inhibiting polyalkylene glycol-based lubricant compositions

A lubricant composition useful for automotive engines, comprising: (A) at least one polyalkylene glycol suitable for use as a lubricant in an automotive engine, (B) an additive package which comprises an acid scavenger, wherein the acid scavenger is an aspartic acid ester, aspartic acid amide, a Group V aspartic acid salt, or a combination thereof.
