A syndesmosis system includes a bone plate and an anchor. The bone plate includes a body extending between first and second surfaces. The body defines a strand-locking hole extending from the first surface to the second surface. A first locking element and a second locking element each extend from a first side wall of the strand-locking hole to a second side wall of the strand-locking hole. Each of the first anchor and the second anchor extend transverse to a central axis of the anchor hole. The anchor includes a body defining a first wing and a second wing. The first and second wings are coupled at a distal end and are biased away from a longitudinal axis of the body. The first and second wings are configured to maintain the anchor in a fixed position when inserted into a hole formed in a bone.

Knotless suture locking bone plate

An implant comprises an elongated plate having a first major face and at least one locking screw hole, to receive a locking fastener oriented normal to the major face. The elongated plate has a wall with a flat surface normal to the first major face. A non-locking screw hole is located between the locking screw hole and the wall. The non-locking screw hole is configured to receive a non-locking fastener oriented at an acute angle relative to the locking fastener.

Implant suitable for calcaneal osteotomy

An implant kit has an adapter having a first end, a second end, and a longitudinal axis extending from the first and to the second end, wherein the first end is configured for removably receiving and engaging an implant and the second end is configured for removably coupling to a driver shaft of an implant driving tool, and an implant preloaded into the first end of the adapter, the implant having an elongated threaded portion; and a blade portion extending from the elongated threaded portion, and having two serrated edges, wherein the blade portion is received in the first end of the adapter and the elongated threaded portion of the implant is coaxially aligned with the longitudinal axis of the adapter.

Orthopedic implant kit

An orthopedic device configured for use as a compressor or a distractor is provided. The device has two arm members and a locking sleeve for securely holding an elongated pin is attached to each of the two arm members. The locking sleeve are hingeably connected to the outer end of each of the two arm members by a biaxial hinge block, wherein the biaxial hinge block is configured to allow the locking sleeve to swivel in two different directions about two orthogonally oriented axes.

Orthopedic compression/distraction device

A bone implant comprising an elongate body having a first end and a second end coupled by a shaft is disclosed. The first portion is configured to couple to a first bone. The second portion comprises a first expandable section comprising at least one expandable feature. The first expandable section is configured to be received within a reverse countersink in a second bone in a collapsed state and to expand within the reverse countersink. The expandable feature couples to a bearing surface of the reverse countersink. A surgical tool comprising a shaft and at least one expandable cutting edge is disclosed. The shaft is sized and configured to be received within a canal formed in a bone. The expandable cutting edge is formed integrally with the shaft. The expandable cutting edge is configured to expand from a collapsed position to an expanded position for forming a reverse countersink.

Hammertoe implant and instrument

A fixation device comprises a first clamping member having an adjustable clamping collar and a first curved support portion attached to the adjustable clamping collar. The first clamping member is adapted to receive a digit. The first curved support portion is adapted to support an inferior surface of a proximal phalanx of the digit. A distal member is adjustably attachable to the first clamping member. The distal member has a second curved support surface adapted to support an inferior surface of a distal phalanx of the digit and a curved distal end adapted to apply a compressive force in a proximal direction to a distal end of the distal phalanx.

Device and method for fixation for bone or soft tissue deformity of digits

An implant includes an elongate threaded portion defining a first central longitudinal axis and a groove. The groove defines a second longitudinal central axis that extends in the same direction as the first central longitudinal axis. A blade portion extends from the elongate threaded portion and has a taper terminating at a point.

An implant is disclosed including an elongated threaded portion and a blade portion extending from the elongated threaded portion. The blade portion has a substantially cylindrical cross-sectional geometry and a taper defined by a plurality of blades.

Tapered, cylindrical cruciform hammer toe implant and method

A method includes inserting a first surgical device into an exposed first end of a first bone until a trailing end of the first surgical device is disposed adjacent to the first end of the first bone. A second surgical device is inserted into an exposed first end of a second bone while the first surgical device remains disposed within the first bone. A first portion of an implant is advanced into the second bone while being engaged with a passageway defined by the implant such that the implant is guided by the second surgical device. The second surgical device is removed from the second bone and from its engagement with the implant. The first bone is repositioned such that the first surgical device is aligned with the passageway defined by the implant, and the first bone is forced into engagement with a second portion of the implant.

Two-wire technique for installing hammertoe implant

An intramedullary implant, system, and method for placement within a bone system are provided by the invention. The implant includes a body with at least one pair of beams arranged about a longitudinal axis of the body. The beams are each fixed to the body and each have an end. The end of one of the beams of a pair is releasably coupled to the other beam of the pair. The beams are each deflectable between (i) a coupled and biased position for insertion of the beams into a respective bone, and (ii) an uncoupled position for gripping bone. The beams of each pair in the uncoupled position being arranged so as to compressively engage the bone.
