A system detects a parameter and generates a first trip plan to automatically control the vehicle according to a first trip plan. A controller is connected to a sensor and configured to receive the parameter. The controller is configured to generate a new trip plan or modify the first trip plan into a modified trip plan based on at least one of a cumulative damage or an end of life date. A new trip plan or the modified trip plan is configured, during operation of the vehicle according to the new trip plan or the modified trip plan, for at least one of an adjustment in velocity or avoiding one or more operating conditions of the vehicle, relative to the first trip plan.

Various methods and systems are provided for a radial turbocharger. In one example, the turbocharger comprises a turbine case housing a turbine wheel and a compressor case housing a compressor wheel, the turbine case including a vaneless turbine nozzle integrated into the turbine case, a bearing case surrounding a shaft connecting the turbine wheel to the compressor wheel and arranged between the turbine case and compressor case, a plurality of long bolts arranged around a circumference of the turbine case, and a plurality of slots arranged around a circumference of the turbine case, a slot length of each slot extending in a radial direction and adapted to receive a dowel pin having a diameter smaller than the slot length, where each dowel pin, via a corresponding slot, couples the bearing case to the turbine case.

Systems for a turbocharger

Various systems and methods are provided for adjusting operating parameters of an internal combustion engine. In one example, a system may include adjusting an amount of advance of a fuel injection timing of a plurality of fuel injectors of an internal combustion engine relative to top dead center (TDC) responsive to engine output demand, where, as the engine output demand increases, the amount of advance first decreases and then increases. In this way, an amount of vehicle emissions may be decreased while an amount of fuel consumption is decreased.

Damping members for turbocharger assemblies, methods for providing turbocharger assemblies, and turbocharger assemblies are described herein. The damping members include bodies having shapes to fit between a recess extending into a rotor disk of a turbocharger and laterally protruding shoulders of platforms in neighboring blades of the turbocharger. The bodies dampen vibrations of the blades during rotation of the blades. The damping members may include a variety of shapes, such as a sheet, a wedge, a tapered pin, a cylindrical pin, a bent sheet, or another shape.

In one example, a system for use with a power generator having a rotary machine including a combustor comprises: a heat exchanger positioned to receive exhaust gases from the combustor; and a turbocharger system, comprising: a low pressure compressor fluidly coupled to the heat exchanger and adapted to supply gases to the heat exchanger; a low pressure turbine and a high pressure turbine each fluidly coupled to the heat exchanger and adapted to receive gases from the heat exchanger; a high pressure compressor fluidly coupled to the rotary machine and the low pressure compressor, adapted to receive gases from the low pressure compressor and supply compressed air to the rotary machine; and a water injector adapted to inject water into a flow path between the low pressure compressor and the heat exchanger.

Systems and methods for increasing power output in a waste heat driven air Brayton cycle turbocharger system

Systems and methods are provided for a turbocharger system for use with a process gas capture system. In one example, the turbocharger system comprises: a heat exchanger positioned to receive inlet gas from a gas generating system via a first inlet; a low pressure compressor driven by a low pressure turbine and coupled to a first outlet of the heat exchanger; a mid-pressure compressor driven by a mid-pressure turbine and coupled in series with the low pressure compressor, the mid-pressure compressor configured to receive low pressure compressed gas from the low pressure compressor; and a high pressure compressor driven by a high pressure turbine and coupled in series with the mid-pressure compressor, the high pressure compressor configured to receive mid-pressure compressed gas from the mid-pressure compressor and output high pressure compressed gas to the process gas capture system and a second inlet of the heat exchanger.

Systems and methods are provided for a waste heat-driven turbocharger system.
