A gamified challenge is presented to a user communicating with a website when the user is suspected of being a bot. The gamified challenge consists of a dynamic sequence of animated geometric objects displayed in an order that the user has to interact with within an allotted amount of time. The complexity of the gamified challenge increases when the challenge is failed and when features extracted from the user session indicate a high level of suspicion that the gamified challenge is performed by a non-human user.

Knowledge associated with an address of a first IP type may be mapped to an address of a second IP type. In response to receiving, at a first IP endpoint type, a request from a client associated with a first and second IP address type, a first address of the first IP type associated with the client is recorded. A unique identification of the request is generated. The unique identifier and instructions to make a second request to a second IP endpoint type are sent to the client. The second request, that includes the unique identifier and corresponds to the second IP address type associated with the client, is received at the second endpoint. Both the first address and the second address are determined as corresponding to the client by determining that the unique identifier was used in both requests. The first address is mapped to the second address.

Embodiments are directed to validating the identity of a user. In one scenario, a computer system determines that a login account has been created for a user, where the creation includes generation of a first identifier for the user based on a user's determined location at the time of account creation. The computer system next receives a login attempt from the user that includes a second, different identifier and one or more login credentials. The computer system then determines the location from which the login attempt was received and, using the second identifier and the determined login location, identifies the user account corresponding to the user. The computer system further authenticates the user upon determining that the second identifier and login location match the first identifier.
