A valve assembly is disclosed that has a valve housing including a first axial end, a cap, a second axial end, and an airflow pathway extending from the first axial end towards the second axial end. The cap is positioned towards the second axial end. The valve housing includes an environmental opening configured for fluid communication with an outside environment, an enclosure opening towards the first axial end configured for fluid communication with an interior of an enclosure, and a film having an expansion diameter disposed in the valve housing laterally across the airflow pathway. The cap has an inner lateral surface and a piercing protrusion (having a piercing tip) extending from the inner lateral surface towards the first axial end. An axial distance is defined between the film and the inner lateral surface. A ratio of the axial distance to the film expansion diameter is at least 0.14.

Burst valve

The technology disclosed herein relates to a vent assembly having a vent housing that defines a first airflow pathway, a second airflow pathway, and a third airflow pathway. The first airflow pathway is configured for fluid communication with an interior of an enclosure. The second airflow pathway is configured for fluid communication with the external environment, and the third airflow pathway extends between the first airflow pathway and the second airflow pathway. A membrane is coupled to the vent housing such that the second airflow pathway and the third airflow pathway are in communication through the membrane. Coalescing filter media is disposed within the vent housing such that the third airflow pathway and the first airflow pathway are in communication through the coalescing filter media. The vent assembly defines a spacing region between the coalescing media and the membrane.

A vent assembly has a housing defining a cavity, a first end, a second end, a vent opening, a valve opening, and a coupling structure towards the second end. The housing defines a valve opening and a vent opening. A vent is coupled to the housing across the vent opening, and a one-way relief valve is sealably disposed on the housing across a valve opening.

A mounting surface is positioned between the first end and the second end within the cavity and defines a valve opening and a vent opening. The present technology relates to an air reservoir for an enclosure where, upon submersion in water, the pressure differential between the water and the enclosure displaces air from the air reservoir into the enclosure to reduce the pressure differential.

The technology disclosed herein relates to a filter assembly. The filter assembly has a double-sided adhesive layer having a first side and a second side and defining a filter opening. A first membrane extends over the filter opening and is directly coupled to the first side of the double-sided adhesive layer about the filter opening. An adsorbent element is directly coupled to the first membrane, where the adsorbent element and the first membrane are coextensive. A second membrane encapsulates the first membrane and the adsorbent element. The second membrane is directly coupled to the first side of the double-sided adhesive layer around the first membrane and adsorbent element.

A vent assembly () has a vent body () defining a first end () and a second end (), a central axis extending from the first end to the second end, and an inner surface defining a cavity. A first retainer extends across the cavity towards the first end of the vent body, and a second retainer () extends across the cavity towards the second end of the vent body. The first retainer defines a first retainer opening extending to a first radial distance from the central axis, and the second retainer defines a second retainer opening extending to a second radial distance from the central axis, where the second radial distance is greater than the first radial distance. Coalescing filter media is disposed in the cavity between the first retainer and the second retainer. The coalescing filter media, the cavity, the first retainer, and the second retainer cumulatively define an airflow pathway.

Oil coalescing vent assembly

A shutoff vent is disclosed. A main body has a first end and a second end. The main body defines a first opening towards the first end, a second opening towards the second end, and a mating port between the first opening and the second opening. The first opening and the second opening are in communication through the mating port to define a gas passageway. A translatable plug is disposed within the main body, and the gas passageway extends past the translatable plug. The translatable plug is configured to reversibly translate towards the second end to sealably obstruct the mating port. In some examples, the translatable plug is configured to translate towards the second end when force is applied to the translatable plug from the first end.

Liquid reservoir shutoff vent

The technology disclosed herein relates to a tank vent having a housing and a pleated, vapor-permeable microporous membrane. The housing defines a first vapor passageway configured for direct communication with a tank interior and a second vapor passageway configured for direct communication with the atmosphere. The housing also defines a tank mounting surface is mountable to a tank housing and a media mounting surface. The microporous membrane is sealed to the media mounting surface and defines a tubular structure such that the first vapor passageway and the second vapor passageway are in communication through the microporous membrane. Other embodiments including methods are also disclosed.
