Systems, methods, and apparatuses for establishing a pull payment relationship are disclosed herein. A method performed by a financial institution computing system includes registering a payee for a pull payment service; registering a payor for the pull payment service; receiving an indication of a contact or a near contact event occurring between a user device associated with the payee and a user device associated with the payor; establishing a pull payment relationship between the payee and the payor responsive to receiving the indication; and fulfilling a payment request from the payee based on the established pull payment relationship.

Alert routing system and methods are described. Alerts are received and aggregated from disparate internet-of-things devices. Alerts may be prioritized based on any combination of: source device-related factors, such as device purpose; subscriber-related factors, such as age, preferences, and restrictions; and subscriber device-related factors, such as ability to receive information in particular formats. In some instances, alerts are further prioritized based on the location of the system's components. Additionally, in some instances, alerts are queued for batch processing based, for example, on subscriber schedule and preferences.

Utility distribution and payment systems and methods are described in which a financial institution individually bills and collects from individual utility users and provides batch payment to the utility company. The financial institution facilitates the aggregate utility billing by agreeing with a utility company to serve as a billing service for a subset of utility and banking customers. The utility company provides the utility to the customers via smart meters located at the properties receiving the utility (e.g., the customer's home, business, or other property). The smart meters provides individualized usage information to both the utility company and the financial institution. At the end of a billing cycle, the financial institution sends one aggregate payment for all users of the subset to the utility company. The financial institution then collects funds from the utility customers associated with the batch payment by performing internal transfers within the financial institution.

Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems, methods and computer program products for implementing bill control. The invention enables a user of a financial institution account to maintain controls over bills via a single interaction point. In some embodiments, a method comprises determining whether a bill is due within a predetermined period; in response to determining the bill is due within the predetermined period: initiating, via a mobile network, presentation of a duration in which the bill is due; initiating, via the mobile network, presentation of an option to authorize payment of the bill via the mobile network; and in response to receiving selection of the option to pay the bill, authorizing payment of the bill via a financial institution account.
