A moveable wing gantry for servicing a wing of an aircraft is configured to be positioned around a wing of an aircraft to provide access to overwing and underwing surfaces of the wing of the aircraft. The wing gantry includes a service deck positioned underneath the wing of the aircraft. An operator platform is moveably attached to the service deck and operable to move along the length of the service deck. A chair support is moveably attached to the operator platform and operable to move across the operator platform in a direction substantially perpendicular to the length of the service deck. The wing gantry includes a pivotable span platform positioned above the wing of the aircraft and pivotable between a raised position and a lowered position. The wing gantry is customizable to different aircraft wing types and styles.

Position-based rendering apparatus and method for multi-die/GPU graphics processing. For example, one embodiment of a method comprises: distributing a plurality of graphics draws to a plurality of graphics processors; performing position-only shading using vertex data associated with tiles of a first draw on a first graphics processor, the first graphics processor responsively generating visibility data for each of the tiles; distributing subsets of the visibility data associated with different subsets of the tiles to different graphics processors; limiting geometry work to be performed on each tile by each graphics processor using the visibility data, each graphics processor to responsively generate rendered tiles; and wherein the rendered tiles are combined to generate a complete image frame.

Position-based rendering apparatus and method for multi-die/GPU graphics processing

The present invention discloses a marine vessel with a monohedral v-shaped hull bow portion blending into catamaran hull sponsons, a center tunnel and individual terminal tunnels on each of the sponsons. This new hull design is capable of high speeds to travel to a desired location, while still providing platform stability and shallow draft of the catamaran shaped aft portion. A removable hull transom diffuser gate and a removable side hull deflector plate may be retracted and/or lowered to reduce the signature of the vessel underway. A retractable cockpit may be included to permit stacking of the marine vessels in order to allow multiple vessels to simultaneously be shipped in a C-130 or C-17 cargo plane to a distant location. This retractable cockpit may include a multi-positional pilot house which can be elevated for rough sea conditions with hinged windshield and side plates for protection from waves for the operators.

A system for preloading tension in a stud using an anti-seizure spacer for tapered thread connections is provided. The system comprises a hydraulic tensioning device including a nut configured for threadably engaging the stud, a foot, a cylinder having a first bore defined therein and a surface for engaging the foot, and a piston movably positioned within the first bore, wherein a hydraulic cavity is defined therebetween. The device further includes a puller screw including male tapered threads configured for being threadably coupled with female tapered threads on the stud. The puller screw includes a head configured for engaging a surface of the piston. The system also includes a spacer positioned between the male tapered threads of the puller screw and the female tapered threads of the stud. A method for preloading tension in a stud using the spacer is also provided.

A water vessel is provided. The water vessel includes a hull, a deck, and a ramp. The hull has a front end, an aft end, a starboard side, a port side, a bottom, a bow at the front end, and a stem at the aft end. The bow is movable between a closed configuration and an open configuration. The deck is in the region of the bow. The ramp is located between the bottom of the hull and the deck in a retracted position. When the bow is in the open configuration, the ramp is movable to an extended position in which the ramp extends from the front end of the hull.

A water vessel is provided. The water vessel includes a hull, a deck, and a ramp. The hull has a front end, an aft end, a starboard side, a port side, a bottom, a bow at the front end, and a stern at the aft end. The bow is movable between a closed configuration and an open configuration. The deck is in the region of the bow. The ramp is located between the bottom of the hull and the deck in a retracted position. When the bow is in the open configuration, the ramp is movable to an extended position in which the ramp extends from the front end of the hull.

A real-time digital engraving technique gives the appearance of traditional copperplate engraving. The present system accepts a 3D mesh comprising vertex data and applies a novel algorithm to generate a digital engraving image based on the mesh. The present method works on any 3D model, generates the resulting image in real-time, allows the user to dynamically change views, and does not require user intervention.

A pencil-sketch image is rendered from three-dimensional (3D) data by determining a pencil-sketch texture for a polygon defined by the 3D data, projecting the polygon onto a two-dimensional surface, and mapping the pencil-sketch texture onto the polygon to render the pencil-sketch image. The pencil-sketch texture is determined by obtaining a value based on a normal vector to the polygon and a light vector between the polygon and a light source, classifying the polygon based on the value, and associating the pencil-sketch texture with the polygon based on the classification of the polygon.

A stern drive system includes a jet nozzle that is pivoted with respect to a mounting bracket and is steered by two hydraulic cylinders. An anti-rotation brace includes a rod pivotably mounted to the bracket and a sleeve pivotably mounted to the jet nozzle. The rod, the sleeve and the pivot mounts are constructed such that the antirotation brace prevents the jet nozzle from rotating about the longitudinal axis of the stern drive system, thereby allowing a modular, compact stern drive which provides advantages in terms of reduced manufacturing cost, reduced maintenance cost, and increased ease of installation.

A boat hull is constructed of a plurality of unitary plates connected together along their edges and connected to an internal frame at the edges, such that the side deck and bottom plates of the hull are connected solely at their respective edges to the internal frame, with the plates being spaced outward from the frame intermediate the connections, and with an elastomer disposed in the space between the frame members and the hull plates.
