A breakout box, breakout box system, and method for management of optical fibers. The breakout box system provides a pass-through system for connecting optical fibers to network rack modules. The external routing of incoming and outgoing cables around the rack is kept neat and orderly, with one large cable serving a plurality of shelves. The breakout of the cable and distribution of the fibers to the individual modules occurs inside the breakout boxes and bridges, which provide protection for the fibers while still allowing easy access for fiber handling by means of the removable lids.

System and method for joining and distributing a single optical fiber cable to multiple rack shelves

A rack-level breakout box, system, and method for distributing high-fiber count optical fiber cables to one or more network racks. External routing of incoming and outgoing cables around the rack is kept neat and orderly, with one large cable serving a fully populated rack and, optionally, multiple racks. A flexible mounting configuration is further provided.

System and method for distributing high fiber count optical cable to network racks

A fiber optic communications arrangement includes a closure with an interior volume; the closure including at least one cable through-port in communication with the interior volume; and an expansion component attached to an exterior portion of the closure and having an interior region in communication with the closure interior volume. The expansion component includes ruggedized fiber optic adapters mounted thereto. Each of the ruggedized fiber optic adapters includes at least one connector port for receiving ruggedized fiber optic connectors.

Fiber optic closure

A component for a closure is disclosed herein. The component includes a collar extending around a central axis. The component also includes a first expansion housing positioned outside the collar in a radial direction relative to the central axis. The first expansion housing has an interior region in communication with an interior of the collar. The first expansion housing also includes a first adapter mounting wall defining a plurality of first adapter mounting openings in which a plurality of first fiber optic adapters are mounted. The first fiber optic adapters include first connector ports adapted for receiving connectors from outside the first expansion housing.

The present disclosure relates to a structure for holding an optical component on a fiber management tray. The structure includes a plurality of substantially parallel retaining members that cooperate to define elongated pockets for receiving optical components. The elongated pockets are defined between the retaining members. The retaining members have lengths that extend along lengths of the pockets, and have cantilevered configurations with fixed base ends. The retaining members also have heights that project upwardly from the base ends to free ends, and are configured to flex to allow optical components to be inserted into the pockets. Each of the retaining members includes a concave side that faces downwardly and a convex side that faces upwardly. Each of the pockets has a first side defined by the concave side of one retaining member and a second side defined by the convex side of an adjacent retaining member.

Fiber optic component tray

A termination enclosure includes a base, a cover, and at least one optical component. An input member extends outwardly from the base. At least a portion of the input member extends along the bottom of the termination enclosure. The input member defines a sealed input passage that extends through the base. A sealing chamber is defined by the base and cover. A gasket disposed at the sealing chamber seals and/or retains drop cables routed into the enclosure even when the cover is moved relative to the base. The sealing chamber defines ports that are located on a common side of the enclosure as an end of the input member.
