An edge connector for connecting to a mating connector includes an outer conductor having a main body and plug-in portion, and first and second inner-conductor contacts arranged at least partly inside the outer conductor. The inner-conductor contacts each comprise a coupling end and a contact end. A shortest spacing between the coupling end and the contact end of the first inner-conductor contact is different from a shortest spacing between the coupling end and the second contact of the second inner-conductor contact. The overall electrical lengths of the inner-conductor contacts are the same. The contact ends are arranged in parallel on a main plane and in the plug-in portion. The inner-conductor contacts are arranged at least partly inside a receiving chamber of the main body. The main plane divides the receiving chamber into first and second asymmetric chamber portions. An insulator galvanically isolates the inner-conductor contacts from the outer conductor.

Edge connector

A soldering aid for electrically conductively connecting a cable core of a cable to a conductor area includes a body made of an electrically insulating material and an electrically conductive contact part received in the body. The contact part has a contact surface configured to electrically conductively contact the conductor area. The body is formed with a receptacle having a slot open toward one side configured to receive the cable core of the cable, and is formed with a through-bore configured to surround a sheathed portion of the cable. The contact part closes an opening at a bottom of the slot and conductively contacts the cable core.

Soldering aid and method for attaching a cable to a conductor area

A contact device for receiving a plug end includes a first contact, which has a first coupling end and a first contact end, and a second contact, which has a second coupling end and a second contact end. The coupling ends are configured to electrically couple the respective contact to a receiving device, and the contact ends are configured to electrically connect the respective contact to a contact element of the plug end. The shortest distance between the first coupling end and the first contact end is not equal to the shortest distance between the second coupling end and the second contact end. The total length of the first contact is equal to, or is within a predetermined tolerance from, the total length of the second contact.

Contact device for receiving a plug end with contacts having different coupling end distances

A connector assembly for connecting a first electrical component to a second electrical component includes a circuit board which is electrically conductively connectable to the first electrical component. A plug unit is electrically conductively couplable, at a plug end, to a mating plug unit and is disposed on a first side of the circuit board. A light source is disposed on a second side of the circuit board opposite the first side. A light guide has an in-coupling region and an out-coupling region, and a through-hole in which the plug end of the plug unit is at least partially disposed. The light guide also has a light injection opening in which the light source is at least partially disposed. The in-coupling region is disposed on a side wall of the light injection opening, and the out-coupling region surrounds the through-hole.
