The invention concerns a fluidized bed reactor () made up of tubed membrane walls () cooled by a coolant fluid, the said walls surrounding a combustion chamber () and comprising tubed extension panels () through which flows a coolant fluid by single pass forced circulation. According to the invention the extension panels () are paired two by two.

Double wall extension

A circulating fluidized bed including a reaction chamber connected by an acceleration duct to a centrifugal separator which separates hot gas particles derived from the chamber. The acceleration duct is arranged partly in the upper part of the chamber.

Circulating fluidized bed reactor with separator and integrated acceleration duct

A circulating fluidized bed reactor is provided that includes a reaction chamber having a vertical partition wall forming two independent subchambers that include a combustion subchamber and a cooling subchamber. A combustion fluidizing gas is provided to the combustion subchamber to maintain a circulating fluidized bed therein. At least one centrifugal separator receives flue gas from the combustion subchamber and separates particles from the flue gas. At least one external bed receives the particles from the at least one centrifugal separator and provides the particles to the combustion subchamber. An external bed fluidizing gas is provided to the external bed to fluidize the particles therein. The cooling subchamber cools the external bed fluidizing gas received from the external bed. A heat exchanger cage receives the flue gas from the centrifugal separator and the external bed fluidizing gas from the cooling subchamber.

Circulating fluidized bed reactor with a convertible combustion method

A centrifugal separator for separating particles from gas uses a separator chamber having an upper potion with at least three substantially vertical planar walls with perpendicular inner faces, and a lower portion, for defining in the chamber a vertical gas vortex. The gas vortex has an inlet formed in the vicinity of a first corner between the first and second walls for gas to be dedusted, an outlet for dedusted gas, and an outlet for separated particles. The separator uses an acceleration duct with a first transverse section at the first end of the duct that is distinctly greater than a second cross section at the second end. This second end is connected to the inlet for gas to be dedusted at the first corner.

Centrifugal separator in particular for fluidized bed reactor device

The circulating fluidized bed reactor device comprising a reactor chamber delimited horizontally by walls, a centrifugal separator and a back pass for heat recovery The reactor device allows for the introduction of a fluidizing gas into the reactor chamber and for maintaining a fluidized bed of particles in said chambers. The gas to be dedusted is transferred from the reactor chamber into the separator, and the separated particles are discharged from the separator and the dedusted gas is transferred from the separator into the back pass. The reactor chamber and the separator both have a common wall with the back pass.
