A method for backup across redundant removable media includes the steps of selecting a current portion of a database to add to a backup collection. The backup collection includes N units of the removable media. N is an integer greater than two. Generating a backup file of a current file in the database using a K-of-N coding process. K is an integer less than N. The backup file has N parts. The current file may be recovered from any K parts among the N parts. Determining if less than N&#x2212;K+1 backups of the current file exist in the backup collection. Writing a subset of the current file to a current unit of the N units in response to the backup collection having less than the N&#x2212;K+1 backups. Writing a current part among the N parts of the backup file to the current unit.

Backup across redundant removable media

An image processing system receives a sequence of frames including a current input frame and a next input frame (the next input frame is captured subsequent in time with respect to capturing of the current input frame). The image processing system stores a previously outputted output frame. The previously outputted output frame is derived from previously processed input frames in the sequence. The image processing modifies the current input frame based on detected first motion and second motion. The first motion is detected based on an analysis of the current input frame with respect to the next input frame. The second motion is detected based on an analysis of the current input frame with respect to the previously outputted output frame. According to one configuration, the image processing system implements multi-sized analyzer windows to more precisely detect the first motion and second motion.

One example configuration as discussed herein includes a multi-stage image processing system. A first stage image processor in the multi-stage image processing system analyzes a first window of settings produced by an array of sensor elements in an image sensor. The first stage image processor scales one or more color ranges to detect defective sensor elements and produces corrective values on an as-needed basis. A second stage image-processing resource processes a second window of settings including original settings and/or substitute settings as produced by the first stage image processor. The second stage image processor applies a debayering algorithm to the second window of values to produce final display settings for the sensor elements.
