A measuring device includes first and second component groups rotatable about an axis relative to each other. The first component group has a scanning component, having a first substrate, and the second component group has a scale component, having a second substrate and an angle scale. The measuring device can determine a relative angular position between the component groups. The measuring device has a passive sensor array having conductor track structures. The conductor track structures are applied on the first substrate by an additive process so that the sensor array determines a torsional load of the first substrate about the axis. Alternatively, the conductor track structures are applied on the second substrate by an additive process so that the sensor array determines a torsional load of the second substrate about the axis.

Measuring device

An inductive position-measuring device includes a scanning element and a graduation element, rotatable about an axis relative to the scanning element. The scanning element has exciter lead(s), a first receiver track, including receiver line(s), extending according to a first periodic pattern having a first period along a first direction, and a second receiver track, including receiver line(s). The graduation element includes a graduation track, extending in the circumferential direction and including a graduation period. An electromagnetic field generated by the exciter lead(s) with the aid of the graduation track is able to be modulated, so that an angular position is detectable with the aid of the receiver line of the first receiver track, and a position of the graduation element in the first direction relative to the scanning element is detectable with the aid of the receiver line of the second receiver track.

Inductive position measuring device

A position-measuring device includes: a first subassembly having a measuring standard on which at least one coded track is provided, and a scanning unit, which is able to generate position signals that may be used to generate an absolute digital position value by scanning the at least one coded track in a measuring direction; a second subassembly having at least one peripheral unit adapted to execute a supplementary or an auxiliary functionality of the position-measuring device; and a plurality of electrical lines, which connect the first subassembly and the second subassembly to each other for the transmission of electrical signals. The position-measuring device is able to be operated in an initialization mode and in a standard operating mode. All components of the first subassembly required for the operation in the standard operating mode are components that are suitable for use in a radiation region of a machine. Furthermore, an initialization memory is provided in the first subassembly, which includes the data required for the operation in the standard operating mode and which is not suitable for use in a radiation region of a machine. In the initialization mode, the content of the initialization memory is transmittable to a memory unit situated outside the radiation region. Only the content of the memory unit is used for the operation in the standard operating mode.

Absolute position-measuring device

An absolute position-measuring device includes a first subassembly having a measuring standard on which at least one code track is disposed, and a scanning unit with which, by scanning the at least one code track in a measuring direction, position signals are able to be produced, from which an absolute digital position value is able to be generated. The position-measuring device includes a second subassembly having at least one peripheral unit adapted to perform an additional or auxiliary function of the position-measuring device. The first subassembly and the second subassembly are connected to each other by a plurality of electric lines for the transmission of electrical signals. The first subassembly exclusively includes components which are suitable for use in a radiation area of a machine.
