A handle assembly for a seat of a vehicle includes an up/down handle, a recline handle, and a finger guard. The up/down handle is configured to adjust a vertical position of a seat bottom when the up/down handle is rotated relative to the seat about a first pivot axis. The recline handle is configured to allow an angle of a seat back to be adjusted when the recline handle is rotated relative to the seat about a second pivot axis. The finger guard is configured to cover a gap between the up/down handle and the recline handle to prevent an occupant in the seat from inserting a finger into the gap. The finger guard is separate from and attached to the recline handle and is configured to rotate about a third pivot axis relative to the recline handle independent of rotation of the recline handle about the second pivot.

A seatback recliner system for a vehicle seat including a seat bottom and a seatback is provided. The system includes a latch mechanism movable between a latched state where the latch mechanism holds the seatback in a fixed angular position relative to the seat bottom and an unlatched state where the seatback is angularly movable relative to the seat bottom. A handle is movable between a rest position where the latch mechanism is disposed in the latched state and an actuated position where the latch mechanism is disposed in the unlatched state, in response to the handle receiving an actuation load from a user. A handle extension member is releasably mounted to the handle by a coupler that disengages the handle extension member from the handle such that the handle remains disposed in the rest position relative to the latch mechanism.

A vehicle seat assembly includes a seat back supported by a seat back frame, a seat cushion supported by a seat cushion frame, a forward leg fixed to a vehicle floor and including a slot that slidingly receives a forward portion of the seat cushion frame, a rear leg fixed to the vehicle floor, the seat back frame is pivotally connected to the rear leg, a rear leg linkage pivotally connected to the rear leg and to a rear portion of the seat cushion frame, and a main linkage pivotally connected to the rear leg linkage and the seat back frame.

A passenger seat for a vehicle includes a head restraint positioned at an upper portion of the passenger seat and a lateral head support selectively configurable between a deployed configuration in which the lateral head support provides lateral support for at least one side of a passenger head and a stowed configuration in which the lateral support collapses into the passenger seat such that the lateral head support no longer provides lateral support for a passenger head.
