A machine includes a frame, a front axle coupled to the frame, a pair of front tractive elements coupled to the front axle, a prime mover coupled to the frame, and a cooling system. The pair of front tractive elements are steerable through a range of motion that defines a tractive element cloud. The cooling system includes a fan and a cooling pack. The fan system is positioned in front of the prime mover and at least partially over the front axle. The cooling pack includes a plurality of heat exchangers. The cooling pack is positioned in front of the fan system such that the cooling pack and the fan system cooperatively define a space therebetween. The pair of front tractive elements are configured to be steered behind the cooling pack and into the space such that the cooling pack is positioned in front of the tractive element cloud.

Cooling system for a machine

A cooling system for cooling diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) for an off-road vehicle is provided. The system includes a DEF tank configured to hold DEF. The system includes a cooling interface configured to interface with the DEF. The system further includes a thermoelectric device disposed exterior to the DEF tank, wherein a first portion of the thermoelectric device is coupled to the cooling interface. The thermoelectric device is configured to draw heat from the cooling interface to cool the DEF. The system still further includes a heat sink coupled to a second portion of the thermoelectric device opposite the first portion. The heat sink is configured to draw heat away from the thermoelectric device.

System for cooling a diesel exhaust fluid

A remote oil drain system and method, which includes a drain fitting with a hose end that can be coupled to a hose, a drain plug end, and a flange at the intersection of the hose end and the drain plug end. The flange having a key that prevents rotation when interfacing with a corresponding keyway. The drain plug configured to engage with internal threads of the drain fitting. A mounting member configured to be coupled to the chassis, its profile allowing the drain plug end of the drain fitting to pass through to the flange. The mounting member having a keyway to interlock with the key of the drain fitting flange. A locking member engaged with the externally threaded surface of the drain fitting and the proximate the mounting member.

Systems and apparatuses include a de-aeration tank for an engine system. The de-aeration tank including a single internal volume defined by walls, a diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) doser port configured to communicate coolant with a DEF doser module, and engine coolant ports configured to communicate coolant with an engine coolant system.

A selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system includes a SCR canister including a SCR inlet configured for receiving engine exhaust from a work vehicle and a SCR outlet configured for expelling a treated exhaust flow. The system includes first and second SCR chambers housed within the SCR canister and configured to react mixtures of exhaust reductant and associated first and second portions of the engine exhaust with a catalyst to generate first and second treated exhaust flow portions, respectively. The system includes an outlet chamber positioned between the SCR outlet and the first and second SCR chambers. Moreover, the outlet chamber is configured to combine the first and second treated exhaust flow portions to form the treated exhaust flow. Further, the system includes a chamber mixer positioned upstream of the SCR outlet and configured to promote mixing of the first and second treated exhaust flow portions within the outlet chamber.

Outlet flow mixers for selective catalytic reduction systems of work vehicles

A system for aspirating a pre-cleaner of a work vehicle may include a fluid conduit in flow communication with an outlet port of the pre-cleaner for receiving an aspirated airflow from the pre-cleaner. The system may also include a double-walled flow pipe having an inner tube that receives a primary fluid flow of the work vehicle. The double-walled flow pipe may also include an outer tube surrounding the inner tube such that an annular passage is defined between the inner and outer tubes. The annular passage may be in flow communication with the fluid conduit. When a vacuum is applied to the annular passage, the aspirated airflow may be drawn through the fluid conduit from the pre-cleaner and directed to the annular passage. The aspirated airflow flows through the annular passage as the primary fluid flow is being directed through the inner tube.

System and method for aspirating a pre-cleaner of a work vehicle using a double-walled flow pipe

An inlet for an SCR device including a tube having an upstream end for receiving exhaust gases and a downstream end terminating in a porous wall. A plurality of openings are spaced around the circumference of the tube adjacent the porous wall and a plurality of vanes are formed at a connection junction adjacent one edge of the opening to form vanes extending inward at an acute angle relative to a plane between the connecting junction and the longitudinal axis of the tube. Preferably, the vanes are concave on the surface extending inward to promote more effective mixing.

Efficient mixing of gases in an exhaust aftertreatment system

An exhaust system for a work vehicle includes a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) assembly that includes an SCR module. The SCR module includes a first exhaust flow path and a second exhaust flow path. The SCR assembly also includes an inlet configured to receive a flow of an exhaust solution, to direct a first portion of the exhaust solution to the first exhaust flow path, and to direct a second portion of the exhaust solution to the second exhaust flow path. The SCR assembly further includes an outlet mixer configured to receive the first and second portions of the exhaust solution and to direct the first and second portion of the exhaust solution out of the SCR assembly. The outlet mixer includes one or more features configured to mix the first and second portions of the exhaust solution.

A system for cooling charge air and excess fuel for a turbocharged diesel engine includes a charge air cooler having an inlet body, a heat exchanger that is disposed downstream from the inlet body and an outlet body that is disposed downstream from the heat exchanger. The outlet body defines a flow passage in fluid communication with the heat exchanger. The system further includes a fuel passage that is in thermal communication with the flow passage of the outlet body. A method for cooling excess fuel from the turbocharge diesel engine is also disclosed herein.

An under-hood mounting configuration for a work vehicle may generally include an air intake component positioned upstream of an engine of the work vehicle. The air intake component may include a wall having an exterior surface and an interior surface. The wall may define a cooling port extending between the exterior surface and the interior surface. In addition, the under-hood mounting configuration may include a control unit having a housing defining an upper surface and a lower surface opposite the upper surface. The housing may be mounted to the wall along the exterior surface such that the housing is positioned directly over at least a portion of the cooling port. When the airflow is directed through the air intake component, a portion of the airflow may flow through the cooling port and may be directed towards the lower surface of the housing.

A work vehicle includes an engine and a hood enclosure at least partially surrounding the engine. The hood enclosure may include a front grille and a secondary grille spaced apart from the front grille. The hood enclosure may also at least partially define an airflow compartment. The work vehicle may also include a heat exchanger disposed in the airflow compartment between the front grille and the engine and at least one cooling fan disposed in the airflow compartment between the heat exchanger and the engine. The at least one cooling fan may generally be configured to generate a reversible airflow within the airflow compartment between the front grille and the secondary grille.

An exhaust system for an off-road vehicle including an outlet port configured to release exhaust gas and an outlet stack disposed about the outlet port, in which at least a portion of the outlet stack is radially spaced from the outlet port to form a gap between the outlet stack and the outlet port. The outlet stack is configured to direct a flow of exhaust gas from the outlet port toward a distal end of the outlet stack. The exhaust system further includes an exhaust shield in close proximity or coupled to the outlet stack comprising at least one opening and an electronic control unit (ECU) disposed within the exhaust shield. The gap is configured to establish an airflow path from the at least one opening to a region of the outlet stack downstream from the outlet port, and the ECU is positioned within the airflow path between the at least one opening and the gap to facilitate cooling of the ECU.
