A method for coating the sawed edges of gypsum wallboard to prevent dusting of gypsum particles in clean rooms. The method includes applying a water-dispersible polymers to the sawed edges of gypsum wallboard. The polymer forms a water-insoluble salt through an ion exchange with the calcium found in gypsum wallboard. The result is a tough, tack free, fast-drying coating that substantially reduces the levels of airborne gypsum particles that come from the sawed edges of gypsum wallboards.

Method of edge-sealing gypsum board for clean room quality

Cementitious binders include calcium sulfate beta-hemihydrate, a cement component comprising Portland cement, and either silica fume or rice-husk ash. The silica fume or rice-husk ash component is at least about 92 wt % amorphous silica and has an alumina content of about 0.6 wt % or less.

Cementitious gypsum-containing binders and compositions and materials

This disclosure relates to a riser comprising an elongated web having one or more folds which form at least one ridge and slopes extending away from the ridge. When in use as a riser, the web is positioned on edge so that the edge surfaces of the ridges and the slopes engage the bottommost article being supported. The web preferably includes strengthening elements located at at least the ridges. A group of risers are nestable whereby they may be compactly stacked for storage and/or shipping. The edge surfaces have a surface area sufficient to avoid forming a substantial imprint in the article. The risers may be made of a recycled material, such as wood chips, plastic and gypsum, and the risers are reusable.

Reusable riser

A demountable partition wall with laminated panels hung from a wall framework by clips applied to the back of the panel. The panels are sound absorbing tack boards, consisting essentially of a gypsum wallboard base board, a mineral fiber board core board and a porous decorative sheet of material adhered to the core board.

Acoustical tack board

Joints between predecorated gypsum wallboard concealed by relatively thin battens made of predecorated wallboard paper narrow strips with pressure-sensitive adhesive on the back, applied by mechanics using rolls of predecorated paper with adhesive and release paper on the back side of the predecorated paper.

A plurality of rolls of wallcovering having a wood grain design in a plurality of different widths which, in strips, is applied on a wall over previously applied adhesive, which preferably is pigmented to a relatively dark color. Alternatively, the wallcovering strips are formed with an adhesive on the back and are applied in an alternating manner with narrow, dark-colored strips having an adhesive on the back, the dark strips simulating grooves between simulated wood planks.

Wood plank wallcovering system

Plastic sheet material, laminated to the front face and side edges of wallboard, having excess sheet width at each side edge, is uniformly and rapidly trimmed to a neat skived edge which becomes firmly adhered to the wallboard edge, by abrading through the sheet material with a rotary abrader such as a nylon brush.

Facing sheet edge trimming

A predecorated printed paper on the gypsum wallboard with a clear washable coating over the printed paper, and having a thin coating of polyethylene emulsion on the back paper which overcomes the tendency of the coated predecorated paper to stick to the back paper of an adjacent board when the boards are piled in stacks for storage and shipment.
