A humidity sensor arrangement for providing temperature compensated measurements. A first sensor is configured internal to a housing for the sensor arrangement, and a second sensor is configured external to the housing. The first sensor measures a first relative humidity at a first temperature, and the second sensor measures second temperature external. A processor determines saturation pressures for the first and second sensors and compensates the first sensor by adjusting the relative humidity for the first sensor to be a product of the relative humidity for the first sensor and a ratio of the saturation pressure of the first and second sensors. Further compensation may be produced by applying a time-based filter algorithm to the outputs of the first and second sensors. Temperature sensors can be compensated to determine room temperature and compensated temp can be used for precise humidity compensation.

System method and apparatus for humidity sensor temperature compensation

System, apparatus and method for providing corrective sensor outputs, particularly when a sensor is subject to gravitational or acceleration effects. A sensor and accelerometer may be operatively coupled to a processor, wherein the processor receives inputs from both. The processor receives the sensor signals and determines the gravitational or acceleration effects on the sensor from the accelerometer signals. Based on these, the processor determines a correction factor that is applied to the sensor signals to provide improved and more accurate sensor outputs.

Electronic tilt compensation for diaphragm based pressure sensors

The invention disclosed herein is a pressure transducer utilizing a Hall effect sensor to detect the displacement of the transducer's diaphragm. The pressure transducer includes a power supply to draw current from a 4 mA to 20 mA current loop and deliver current to the Hall effect sensor at an average rate of 4 mA or less.

Pressure transmitter with power cycled hall effect sensor

A pressure gage adapted to provide a mechanical indication of a sensed pressure and to provide an electrical signal indicative of the sensed pressure. The pressure gage includes a housing having a first fluid pressure chamber, a second fluid pressure chamber, and flexible diaphragm separating the first fluid pressure chamber from the second fluid pressure chamber. A magnet is coupled to the diaphragm such that movement of the diaphragm causes a related movement of the magnet. A helix is located adjacent to the magnet and a pointer is attached to the helix for conjoint rotation with a helix about a rotational axis. A Hall effect sensor is also located adjacent the magnet. Movement of the magnet in response to movement of the diaphragm rotates the helix and the pointer to provide a mechanical indication of the pressure sensed by the diaphragm, and the movement of the magnet causes the Hall effect sensor to generate an electrical signal indicative of the pressure sensed by the diaphragm.

Pressure gage and switch

A thermal anemometer that separates sensor heating from sensor temperature measurement through a switched sampling technique. This approach demonstrates several advantages over the more typical circuitry employing a bridge, which simultaneously heats the sensor and senses the ambient and velocity sensor temperature. In a thermal anemometer in accordance with the present invention, sensor temperature is determined by sampled measurement of its resistance. Sensor temperature is controlled by varying the voltage applied to the sensor with an error value determined by the difference between actual sensor resistance and the desired resistance.
