The present invention is directed to the use of at least one SGLT-2 inhibitor in a non-human mammal, preferably ruminant, preferably for drying-off of a non-human mammal, preferably ruminant, as well as corresponding methods, such as improving and/or facilitating the drying-off of a non-human mammal, preferably ruminant, comprising administering to such non-human mammal, preferably ruminant, at least one SGLT-2 inhibitor.

Use of SGLT-2 inhibitors in the drying-off of non-human mammals

The present invention relates to one or more SGLT2 inhibitors or pharmaceutically acceptable forms thereof for use in the treatment and/or prevention of a metabolic disorder in a feline animal, preferably wherein the metabolic disorder is one or more selected from the group consisting of: ketoacidosis, pre-diabetes, diabetes mellitus type 1 or type 2, insulin resistance, obesity, hyperglycemia, impaired glucose tolerance, hyperinsulinemia, dyslipidemia, dysadipokinemia, subclinical inflammation, systemic inflammation, low grade systemic inflammation, hepatic lipidosis, atherosclerosis, inflammation of the pancreas, neuropathy and/or Syndrome X (metabolic syndrome) and/or loss of pancreatic beta cell function and/or wherein the remission of the metabolic disorder, preferably diabetic remission, is achieved and/or maintained.

Treatment of metabolic disorders in feline animals

The present invention relates to one or more SGLT2 inhibitors or pharmaceutically acceptable forms thereof for use in the treatment and/or prevention of a metabolic disorder in a canine animal, preferably wherein the metabolic disorder is one or more selected from the group consisting of: ketoacidosis, pre-diabetes, insulin dependent diabetes mellitus, insulin resistance diabetes, insulin resistance, obesity, hyperglycemia, hyperglycemia induced cataract formation, impaired glucose tolerance, hyperinsulinemia, dyslipidemia, dysadipokinemia, subclinical inflammation, systemic inflammation, low grade systemic inflammation, hepatic lipidosis, inflammation of the pancreas, metabolic disorder consequences, such as hypertension, renal dysfunction and/or muscoskeletal disorders, and/or Syndrome X (metabolic syndrome), wherein preferably the development of hyperglycemia induced cataract formation is prevented or remission is achieved and/or wherein preferably the development of metabolic disorder consequences, such as hypertension, renal dysfunction and/or muscoskeletal disorders, is prevented or progression is slowed or remission is achieved.

Treatment of metabolic disorders in canine animals

The present invention relates to (isolated) recombinant proteins, also referred to as improved MAT (iMAT) molecules, comprising at least one translocation module, at least one targeting module and at least one antigen module, wherein at least one cysteine residue is substituted with a different amino acid residue. Such iMAT molecules are useful specifically as vaccines, e.g., for therapy and/or prevention of allergies and/or infectious diseases and/or prevention of transmission of infectious diseases in equines. The present invention further relates to nucleic acids encoding such iMAT molecules, corresponding vectors and primary cells or cell lines.

The present invention relates to one or more SGLT2 inhibitors or pharmaceutically acceptable forms thereof for use in the treatment and/or prevention of a metabolic disorder of an equine animal. In particular, the present invention relates to one or more SGLT2 inhibitors or a pharmaceutically acceptable form thereof for use in the treatment and/or prevention of laminitis, vascular dysfunction, hypertension, hepatic lipidosis, atherosclerosis, hyperadrenocorticism, Pituitary Pars Intermedia Dysfunction and/or Equine Metabolic Syndrome in an equine animal.

The present invention relates to combination of one or more SGLT2 inhibitors or pharmaceutically acceptable forms and/or salts thereof and one or more dopamine receptor agonists or pharmaceutically acceptable forms and/or salts thereof, preferably in the treatment and/or prevention of a metabolic disorder of an equine animal, wherein more preferably the metabolic disorder is one or more disorders selected from Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS), Equine Pituitary Pars Intermedia Dysfunction (PPID), also known as equine Cushing's syndrome, laminitis, vascular dysfunction, hypertension, hepatic lipidosis, hyperadreeocorticism, glucose intolerance, insulin resistance, hyperinsulinaemia, hirsutism, hyperhidrosis. polyuria, polydipsia, chronic infections, abnormal fat distribution, muscle wasting, abnormal weight loss and/or loss of appetite.
