The present aspects include a method of detaching a security tag from an article, including receiving, at a detacher device, an unlock signal from a transaction system. The detacher device includes a housing having a nest configured to receive a security tag, a gate assembly including a gate member movable between a closed position that blocks the nest and an open position, and a magnet positioned on an opposite the nest and having a magnetic flux sufficient to unlock a magnetic lock of the security tag. The method further includes moving the gate member from the closed position to the open position based on receipt of the unlock signal, receiving the security tag in the nest, and unlocking the magnetic lock of the security tag to allow the security tag to be detached from the article.

The present aspects include a magnetic detacher including a housing having a wall that defines a nest configured to receive a security tag; a gate member and an actuator configured to move the gate member between a closed position and an open position, wherein the gate member in the closed position blocks the nest, and in the open position allows access to the nest; a magnet positioned on an opposite side of the housing relative to the nest and adjacent to the nest, the magnet having a field in an area of the nest sufficient to unlock a magnetic lock of the security tag; and a processor in communication with the actuator and with a transaction system, wherein the processor is configured to control the actuator to move the gate member from the closed position to the open position based on receipt of an unlock signal from the transaction system.

A pressure regulator for use in a sprinkler assembly including a riser and a sprinkler basket includes an outer sleeve mounted in the riser at an inlet thereof and a pressure responsive member, movably mounted in the outer sleeve and movable from an open position allowing flow of water between the top surface of the filter basket and the bottom edge of the pressure responsive member and up the riser and a closed position where the bottom edge of the pressure responsive member contacts the top surface of the filter basket to prevent water from flowing. The pressure responsive member is biased in the open position and moves into the closed position when downstream water pressure exceeds a predetermined value.

The methods involve rotating a Rotational Clip ('RC') of ST () towards a Housing Base (&#x201c;HB&#x201d;) of ST until RC () contacts a latch () disposed within HB (), where an article resides between a first pad () fixedly coupled to RC and a second pad () movably coupled to HB. An angled surface () of RC slides against an angled surface () of the latch so as to cause compression of a cap spring () and a latch spring (). The cap spring is disposed in HB such that a center axis () thereof is perpendicular to a center axis () of the latch spring. When the latch becomes aligned with an aperture () formed in the rotational clip, the latch travels into the aperture as result from a pushing force applied thereto by the latch spring.

The methods involve: sliding a sidewall () of an article () into a clip structure () of the security tag; rotating at least one pawl () of the security tag so that the pawl is transitioned from a retracted position in which an engagement surface () of the pawl is disposed within a housing () of the security tag to an engaged position in which the engagement surface of the pawl extends out and away from the housing of the security tag; and applying a clamping force by the pawl to the article whereby the article is clamped between the engagement surface of the pawl and a vertical elongate member () of the clip structure.

The methods involve: slidingly coupling a first engagement member () of the security tag to a first sidewall () forming a first right angle with a base () of an article; and extending a securement member () of the security tag across an exterior surface of the base of the article. A second engagement member () of the security tag is slidingly coupled to a second sidewall () opposed from the first sidewall and forming a second right angle with the base of the article. A length of the securement member is then decreased so as to place the securement member in a tensioned position whereby the security tag is secured to the article. A security tag incorporating a hybrid clamp that combines an attachment clamp with an RFID component. The attachment clamp is used to secure an item, such as an article of clothing, to the tag. The RFID component, e.g., an RFID antenna, transmits data signals to an RFID reader where the data signals are encoded with information stored about the security tag. The hybrid clamp combines the attachment features and RFID antenna features of the security tag in one clamp.
