A vaporizer includes: a housing having an air inlet and an air outlet; an airflow channel formed in the housing and running through the air inlet and the air outlet; a liquid storage tank disposed in the housing; a vaporization component disposed in the airflow channel and in fluid communication with the liquid storage tank; an air inlet valve disposed in the airflow channel between the air inlet and the vaporization component, an air outlet portion of the air inlet valve being disposed close to the vaporization component, an air inlet portion of the air inlet valve being disposed away from the vaporization component; a leaked liquid storage region for storing leaked liquid, the leaked liquid storage region being formed between the air inlet valve and the vaporization component; and at least one gulp valve disposed in the housing.

An aerosol-forming article includes: an aerosol-forming substrate; a heating layer encircling a concave portion, the aerosol-forming substrate being arranged in the concave portion; and a cover layer covering at least a part of the heating layer and an opening of the concave portion. The aerosol-forming substrate is located between the heating layer and the cover layer. A through hole is provided at a position of the cover layer corresponding to the opening. The heating layer generates eddy currents in a magnetic field to generate heat so as to heat the aerosol-forming substrate to form aerosols.

An aerosol-forming article includes: an aerosol-forming substrate; an encapsulation layer encircling a recessed portion, the aerosol-forming substrate being arranged in the recessed portion; and a cover layer covering at least a part of the encapsulation layer and an opening of the recessed portion. The aerosol-forming substrate is arranged between the encapsulation layer and the cover layer. A through hole is provided at a position of the cover layer corresponding to the opening.

A vaporization main unit includes: a mounting base comprising a mounting portion for mounting an aerosol-forming article; and a heating element for heating the aerosol-forming article, the heating element being arranged in the mounting portion. The mounting portion forms a groove. A bump is provided on a bottom surface of the groove, the heating element being arranged on the bump, the bump being in contact with the heating element. The heating element and a side surface of the groove are at least partially spaced.
