A system is disclosed. The system may include a modular control unit configured to control power to at least one load device. The modular control unit may include a backplate with a recess that includes a set of backplate electrical contacts. The system may also include a contact element configured to receive the power. The system may also include at least one device control assembly configured to be removably coupled to the backplate. The device control assembly may include a set of device control assembly electrical contacts configured to electrically couple with the set of backplate electrical contacts of the backplate when the at least one device control assembly is coupled to the backplate and configured to electrically decouple from the set of backplate electrical contacts when the at least one device control assembly is decoupled from the backplate.

User-upgradeable load control

In one embodiment, a configurable system may be capable of verification and include a modular control unit configured to control power. The modular control unit may include a first contact element configured to receive the power, a backplate, and at least one device control assembly. Other embodiments may include a system configured for dynamically assignable pairings. Further embodiments may include a backplate configured to control power to at least one load device, the backplate including one or more power control elements. Additional embodiments may include a system including a receptacle. The system with the receptacle may include a modular control unit, a backplate, a contact element, and at least one device control assembly configured to be removably coupled to the backplate.

A system and method for determining position information. The method includes selecting a column, a first row, and a second row of a capacitive sensor array. The first row and second row intersect with the column of the capacitive sensor array. The method further includes measuring a differential capacitance between the first row and the second row and utilizing the differential capacitance in determining a location of an object proximate to the capacitive sensor array.

Apparatuses and methods of peak detection are described. One method measures touch data on a sense array, the touch data represented as multiple cells. The method performs multiple different peak-detection schemes on each of the cells to generate a list of one or more possible peaks in the touch data. The method selects one or more actual peaks from the list. The actual peaks are used to determine locations of touches proximate to the sense array.

A system for occupancy prediction includes one or more occupancy sensors configured to detect a current occupancy state of one or more detection zones including at least one of occupied by one or more occupants or vacant of occupants. Variable profile common mode filter

Apparatuses and methods of touch location interpolation using iterative emulated touches are described. One method measures touch data on a sense array. The method determines that the touch data represents two or more touches proximate to the sense array and sequentially estimates touch geometries of the two or more touches based on two or more estimated touches that correspond to the two or more touches proximate to the sense array. The touch geometries comprise estimated touch sizes and estimated touch positions of the two or more touches. The method outputs the touch geometries of the two or more touches when an error between the two or more estimated touches and the two or more touches is less than a specified threshold.

Iteratively adjusting estimated touch geometries of estimated touches to sequential estimated actual touches

A processing device configured to induce, during a listening scan of a sense array, an injected touch to produce similar data as would be present during a touch scan of the sense array with a conductive object at a known location on the sense array. The processing device is further configured to compute, using the data, an estimate of a noise metric based on the injected touch.

One embodiment of the present invention pertains to a touch sensing system comprising a sensing device for sensing one or more touches on a sensor surface made of multiple conductive strips in one direction and a dual processing device for determining a horizontal position and a vertical position of each touch by processing currents generated in response to the touch, where the currents charge and discharge a capacitor formed between the touch and the sensor surface.
