A steering column assembly includes a steering column pivotably coupled to a rake bracket at a first pivot point, a rake locking mechanism including a rotatable rake bolt, and a multi-link assembly including a first member, a second member and a third member. The first member includes a first end fixedly coupled to the rotatable rake bolt and the second end rotatably coupled to a first end of the second member. The second member includes a second end rotatably coupled to a first end of a link portion of the third member. The third member includes a link coupled to a lever. A first end of the lever is coupled to a second end of the link. The lever includes a thumb pad. Rotation of the thumb pad around a second pivot point effects rotation of the rotatable rake bolt to lock or unlock the rake locking mechanism.

Steering column rake adjustment lock/unlock device

An adjustable steering column assembly includes a steering column and a lever moveable between an unlocked position and a locked position. The position of the steering column is adjustable when the lever is in the unlocked position and fixed when the lever is in the locked position. An anti-unlocking device is provided to prevent the lever from moving to the unlocked position from the locked position when a first force is applied to the steering column. The anti-unlocking device prohibits adjustment of the steering column when a first force is applied to the steering column. An example anti-unlocking device may include a member defining a slot, with the lever being at least partially insertable in the slot in the unlocked and locked positions. The member includes a wall defining a ramp surface configured to abut at least one surface of the lever when the first force is applied.

Anti-unlocking device for adjustable steering column

The present invention provides a door assist pedal assembly including a housing member that is mountable to a vehicle floor panel. A pedal is pivotably secured to the housing member, and a cam is also rotatably secured to the housing member such that the cam is engaged by the pedal. A spring configured to bias the pedal into a fully depressed position is disposed between the pedal and the housing member. A cable couples the cam with a vehicle door. Actuation of the pedal by a vehicle occupant causes the cam to rotate and thereby retract the cable such that the vehicle door is pulled toward a closed position.

An energy absorbing knee bolster assembly for a vehicle includes a knee deflector for partially surrounding a steering column of the vehicle. The energy absorbing knee bolster assembly also includes left and right energy absorbing knee bolster brackets on opposite sides of the knee deflector. The knee deflector and the energy absorbing knee bolster brackets are integral, unitary, and one-piece.

A mounting device is provided for mounting a window regulator drive unit on a molded plastic mounting panel. A plurality of flexible tabs are molded integral with the mounting panel and adapted to engage with the window regulator drive unit to retain the drive unit on the mounting panel. A molded plastic cap is adapted to fit over the drive unit and has integrally molded mounting fingers for engaging with complimentary integrally molded mounting fingers provided on the mounting panel so that rotation of the plastic cap causes inter-engagement of the mounting fingers and the drive unit is captured between the cap and the mounting panel. The cap has slots therein which become engaged with projecting lugs of the flexible tabs upon rotation of the cap relative to the mounting panel so that the flexible tabs become blocked and cannot be disengaged from their respective engagement with the drive unit. In addition, at least one of the mounting fingers has a ramp surface thereon so that the cap progressively wedges the cap into tighter engagement with the mounting panel to further assure retention of the cap on the mounting panel.
