A rail system includes a lower rail and an upper rail guided therein where the upper rail is adjustable in relation to the lower rail via a longitudinal adjustment device, the longitudinal adjustment device comprising a threaded spindle attached inside the lower rail and a spindle nut screwed onto the threaded spindle which is firmly affixed to the upper rail via a transmission housing so that the upper rail can be displaced in the longitudinal direction by motorised actuation of the longitudinal adjustment device, the threaded spindle being covered, at least in certain regions, in the lower rail by a deformable protective element which comprises longitudinal edges extending in the longitudinal direction.

A system for locking a slide rail for a vehicle seat with continuous adjustment, comprises a fixed rail, and two blocking members urged towards each other by an elastic member to ensure their bracing on the rail, as well as to an unlocking mechanism comprising an unlocking member ensuring the release of the sliding of the slide rail by a separation of the two blocking members.

A manually, longitudinally adjustable motor vehicle seat having a lower rail secured to a vehicle chassis, and an upper rail longitudinally displaceable in the lower rail and secured to a seat component. Locking mechanisms released by release mechanisms secure the rails, and assume a release position when the backrest is folded forward. A blocking lever pivotably mounted on a pivot shaft secured to the upper rail can assume two stable extreme pivot positions, namely a passive position where the blocking lever has no contact with the release mechanism, and an active position where the blocking lever blocks the release mechanism in its release position. Upon longitudinal displacement of the seat from a comfort-longitudinal adjustment arrange into an easy-entry-longitudinal adjustment range, a control device comes into contact with the blocking device pivoting against the force of a spring device, out of its passive and into its active position, and vice versa.

Manually longitudinally adjustable motor vehicle seat

Longitudinally adjustable motor vehicle seat comprising opposite rail pairs; a lower rail for securement to a chassis and an upper rail secured to a seat component, displaceable in the lower rail. Two pivotable levers are associated with the rail pairs. A second lever is connected to a locking mechanism for securing the upper rail; both levers are connected to a seat backrest. Upon operation of a control member connected to the levers for comfort-longitudinal seat adjustment, a first lever synchronously pivots the second lever to release the locking mechanism. A Bowden cable is connected to the backrest for adjustment when the backrest is folded forward into an easy-entry-position. A Bowden cable core is attached to the first lever, and a sheathing thereof is secured to the second lever. In a neutral position, the sheathing presses the first lever against an abutment secured to the upper rail.
