A method and system determines an absolute Multicast-Broadcast Single Frequency Network (MBSFN) configuration based on a threshold. First saved radio resources and first wasted radio resources are calculated. The absolute MBSFN configuration is set as the final MBSFN configuration when the first saved radio resources are greater than or equal to the first wasted radio resources. When untrue, the absolute MBSFN configuration plus an adjacent cell pool is set as the final MBSFN configuration based on the final MBSFN configuration achieving a maximum value of second saved radio resources minus second wasted radio resources. When both of these conditions are untrue, the absolute MBSFN configuration minus an MBSFN cell pool is set as the final MBSFN configuration based on the final MBSFN configuration achieving a maximum value of third saved radio resources minus third wasted radio resources.

Dynamic MBSFN area configuration method in consideration of radio resource efficiency and system thereof

A technique for managing uplink feedback involves establishing a channel quality threshold range, for example, in terms of a channel quality indicator (CQI), broadcasting the channel quality threshold range to the mobile stations and using the channel quality threshold range to control the feedback of channel quality information. For example, the mobile stations determine their own mobile station-specific CQI and then generate CQI feedback information in response to a comparison between their own mobile station-specific CQI and the CQI threshold range. In an embodiment, if the CQI of a mobile station falls within the CQI threshold range, then the mobile station can transmit a reduced set of CQI feedback information. For example, the reduced set of CQI feedback information may be a single bit that indicates whether the mobile station-specific CQI is greater than or less than a CQI threshold or whether the CQI has crossed a CQI threshold.

Uplink feedback in a multimedia broadcast/multicast services (MBMS) wireless communications system

A method to be executed by a UE (user equipment) is proposed, for said UE in P2P communication mode to perform cell handover, comprising steps of: detecting downlink signals of the active cell in which said UE is camping and its adjacent cells (S); judging whether there exists a suitable cell whose link performance is a predefined value higher than that of said active cell (S), according to the detecting result; sending a detection report message to a network system (S) to start a judging procedure of said network system if there exists said suitable cell, and said judging procedure deciding whether said UE and another UE in P2P communication can handover into said suitable cell to continue P2P communication.
