An implantable device for venous or peritoneal access including a housing including a void having distal a proximal openings; an insert for insertion through the proximal opening comprising a venous or peritoneal catheter; a valve element mounted in a cylindrical recess of the insert; an extracorporeal coupling member of which a terminal portion can be inserted into a proximal recess of the valve element; one or two conduits extending from the catheter to the proximal end of the coupling member via the valve element and the insert for providing fluid communication, which can be interrupted by rotating the coupling member. The coupling member can be extracted from the recess only in a state of interrupted communication.

Device for vascular and peritoneal access and a device for hemodialysis

A bone anchoring element comprises a tubular implant to be inserted into bone tissue for anchoring a prosthetic component located outside the bone. The implant has a compact, impermeable side wall () and is open at one end while the other end is closed by a compact impermeable end wall portion with attachment for prosthetic component on the outside thereof.

Tubular bone anchoring element

A transcutaneous portal arrangement including a portal body having a bottom wall with a through-passing opening or transit for accommodating a catheter. A tubular element that fits in the portal body includes an end-portion which is inserted into the end-portion of the catheter. A clamping structure clamps the end-portion of the tubular element against the bottom wall around the through-passing opening so as to sealingly clamp the outer wall and the inner wall of the catheter around the edge of the opening and around the periphery of the tubular element, respectively.

Transcutaneous portal device

A device in a suction tube to be connected to a suction conduit for surgical or dental use to separate from the suction flow entrained particulate material. The suction tube being open at both ends and has a sieve element located therein. The sieve is inclined in relation to the axial direction of the suction tube in order that separated material shall be collected in a pocket formed at the suction end of the suction tube.

Bone tissue fragments are collected from liquid fluid being evacuated by suction from a surgical operation in bone tissue. Liquid is allowed to pass into the cylindrical sieve through one open end thereof and through the sieve wall from the inside to the outside thereof. Bone tissue fragments are collected on the inside surface of the sieve and are scraped off and deposited outside the sieve.

Method and apparatus for collecting bone tissue fragments

A rotationally symmetrical anchoring element made of biocompatible material for anchoring into bone tissue. A circumferential surface includes a lower portion adapted to be incorporated with bone tissue and an upper portion that is located outside the bone tissue following implantation. The upper portion is adapted for attachment of a spacer piece or prosthetic structure thereto. The upper portion includes an unthreaded conical portion having a diameter that increases with increasing distance away from an upper end gable surface of the element. The conical portion forms a bearing surface for cooperation with a conical surface of the spacer piece or the prosthetic structure. The conical surface matching the conical portion. An external thread provided at a top of the upper portion secures the conical surface of the spacer piece or the prosthetic structure against the conical portion.

Bone-anchoring element

A bone implant for implantation into a bone tissue and for the connection of a prosthetic structure thereto, the bone implant including a screw-threaded portion for insertion into the bone tissue, a neck portion extending along an axis from the screw-threaded portion, the neck portion terminating in an end surface, the end surface being provided with a threaded blind hole for attachment of the prosthetic structure to the bone implant, a cover element, and an attachment mechanism for attaching the cover element to the neck portion of the bone implant, the cover element including a cupola-shaped outer surface and the cover element having a thickness extending inward from the cupola-shaped outer surface for a substantial distance along the axis of the neck portion when the cover element is attached to the neck portion by the attachment mechanism.

Method and apparatus for collecting fragments of bone tissue

A surgical element for guided and controlled tissue regeneration and method for selective tissue regeneration. The elements disclosed include embodiments containing protrusions on at least one side of a sheet of element material for separating the implanted element from an adjacent surface, and other embodiments comprising multiple layers of element material with internal spacer means separating the layers. Also disclosed is a method for treating supporting tissues adjacent to teeth and dental implants, the method comprising the use of a surgical element for selected influence on the growth of alveolar bone and periodontal ligament tissues.
