An arrow rest for an archery bow can include a housing, a biasing element, and a member or wheel that rotates between states, configurations, or orientations. The member can be rotated from a first orientation to a second orientation when the archery bow is at least partially drawn. While the member is in the second orientation, the biasing element can apply a torque retaining the member in the second orientation. The member can be rotated to a third orientation and released to generate momentum. A relatively large momentum of the member causes the member to rotate from the third orientation, past the second orientation, to the first orientation. A relatively small momentum of the member can cause the member to rotate from the third orientation to the second orientation.

Archery bow and related apparatuses

An archery bow can include a riser having first and second cavities that are in fluid communication to enable routing of one or more archery components through the riser. The riser can include a channel or groove formed within the riser. The channel has a size and shape that enables cable or wire to be removably retained within the channel and routed from one region of the riser to another region of the riser. The riser can include a conduit or passage that extends within the riser and enables one or more components to be routed within the riser.

Archery bow riser and related apparatuses

An archery bow can include a riser, a first limb coupled to the riser, a second limb coupled to the riser, a string extending between the first and second limb, and Non-Newtonian material (NN material). The NN material can be incorporated into at least one of the riser, the first limb, the second limb, the string, or another component of the archery bow. The NN material can have a material property (e.g., viscosity) which varies relative to a stress or force applied to the NN material. One or more portions of NN material can additionally, or alternatively, be incorporated into a projectile (e.g., an arrow) for an archery bow, an archery target or other archery equipment.

Materials for use in archery equipment

An archery bow includes a cam assembly having a component projecting or extending beyond a periphery of the cam assembly of the archery bow to enable an archer to set the archery bow upright on a support surface. For example, the component can be affixed to one or more elements of the cam assembly (e.g., a cam, a module, etc.) and can displace the cam assembly a distance from the support surface when the archery bow is disposed upright on the support surface.

Archery bow support and related apparatuses

Various archery bows with abutting limb support are shown. One bow includes a riser that has a handle portion and first and second riser portions extending from the handle portion. The first riser portion has multiple limb contact surfaces that are spaced apart. The bow also has a first limb with a proximal end portion that has multiple external surfaces that abut and are articulable relative to the limb contact surfaces. This first limb is free-floating against the first riser portion. A second limb and a bowstring are connected to the bow as well. Tension in the bowstring is transferred to the first and second limbs. Limbs such as the first limb store energy across more of the length of the limb, have less concentrated stresses, and can be supported and dampened close to the proximal end of the limb.

Limb support apparatus and method

A compound archery bow having a reverse-pivot cable guard, wherein the cable guard has a first cantilever member connected to a riser at a proximal end and extending away from the riser at a distal end and a second cantilever member attached to the distal end of the first cantilever member and extending back toward the riser. The proximal end of the second cantilever member retains a bow cable such that when the bow is drawn, the second cantilever member flexes toward the plane of arrow flight and the bowstring and away from the riser. This design may reduce stresses on the cable guard, reverse torque on the riser, and improve cable life, among other benefits.

Cable guard apparatus and method

An archery bow cable guard includes a base portion and first and second cable rollers. The base portion is configured to mount to a riser of an archery bow. The first and second cable rollers are mounted to the base portion and arranged to contact a cable of the archery bow. Each roller has an axis of rotation that is arranged perpendicular to a length dimension of the cable. The axis of rotation of the first and second cable rollers are spaced apart in a direction parallel to a longitudinal dimension of the archery bow cable guard.
