A method for manufacturing a pro label book includes printing static indicia on a web of label material, applying an adhesive to each portion of the web of label material that will become a label page in a pro label book that is not the portion of the web of label material that will become a top page of a label book to be formed if the adhesive is applied to a top surface of the web of label material or a bottom page of a label book to be formed if the adhesive is applied to the bottom surface of the web of label material, printing variable information on the web of label material, sheeting the web of label material to form label pages, and batching the label pages together utilizing the applied adhesive. Certain embodiments include attaching one of a backer or a cover to the web of label material following the printing static indicia step.

Bar code label book single pass manufacturing process

A group of size-adjustable wristbands is disclosed. The group of wristbands includes a backing sheet that is connected to a stub area disposed at an end of the backing sheet. A plurality of elongated strips is connected to the stub area in a side-by-side fashion. Each strip includes a first end attached to an additional stub area and a second end attached to the stub area. Each strip further includes a top surface. The group of wristbands further includes a plurality of top sheets, each top sheet having a first end and a second end. The first end of each top sheet is attached to one of the strips along a top surface thereof. Each top sheet is clear and includes a bottom side coated with a top adhesive layer. Finally, the group of wristbands includes a plurality of top liners with each top liner being sandwiched between one of the top adhesive layers and one of the strips.

A hold-down device is disclosed for holding down the leading edges of sheet materials, such as multiple-ply sheets or integrated forms, disposed in a tray of a printer in a horizontal or flat position prior to feeding the leading edge of the top sheet or integrated form into the printer feed mechanism. Because some sheet materials are prone to curling, which causes jamming in the feed mechanism or downstream in printing path within commonly used printers, the disclosed hold-down device maintains the leading edge of the top sheet in a flat or horizontal position so it can be reliably and evenly received in the feeder mechanism of the printer, thereby reducing the chances of jamming when sheet materials that are prone to curling, such as multiple-ply sheets or integrated forms, are being printed. The hold-down device includes a base with two ends. Each end may include a retainer or other means for detachably connecting the base to the paper tray of the printer. The base is hingedly connected to a pair of parallel arms. Each arm includes a distal end that engages or rests on the top sheet adjacent, but proximal to the leading edge of the top sheet to prevent curling.

Hold-down device for multiple-ply or integrated forms in printer trays

A multi-layer label with variable data and method for its manufacture. First indicia is printed on a first label face ply of a multi-ply label material in registration with an eventual location of at least one of a plurality of multi-layer labels. The first indicia may be variable between at least two of the plurality of multi-layer labels. A second label material is removably adhered to the multi-ply first label material, thereby covering the first indicia. Second indicia is printed on the face of the second label material.
