A storage system is provided. The storage system includes a backplane; a plurality of single port storage devices; and a plurality of controllers, wherein the backplane routes a plurality of interconnection lanes between the plurality of controllers and the plurality of single port storage devices, wherein the plurality of controllers is configured to: enable at least one second interconnection lane of the plurality of interconnection lanes when a first controller of the plurality of controllers has failed, wherein a first interconnection lane of the plurality of interconnection lanes is between the first controller and a first single port storage device of the plurality of single port storage devices, wherein the at least one second interconnection lane is between a second controller of the plurality of controllers and the first single port storage device.

Disclosed is a system and method for rendering a video from a video phone system to a monitor associated with a computing device such a PC. A chroma-key color is utilized to define a video window in the monitor and the video phone system will overlay video content in the window. A mouse pointer will continue to be visible even when it is in the video overlay location and continue to be able to manipulate and control content in the monitor, including the video layout.

Methods and systems for supporting the alternate routing of calls between endpoints, such as session initiation protocol (SIP) endpoints, are provided. An inner gateway alternate route (IGAR) application is invoked when the primary, Internet protocol, communication network is overloaded or otherwise unable to handle a call. The IGAR application assigns incoming and outgoing trunks, and serves as a contact point for session managers in routing the trunk call.

An improved caching method comprising: (a) employing circuitry to identify and analyze a plurality of data streams, each of said data streams resulting from a request to access a same content item stored in a cache; (b) calculating an initial access interval for said content item based upon said analyzing; and (c) adjusting a data transfer rate in at least one of said data streams in order to reduce said initial access interval to a reduced access interval.

Disclosed is a method and tool that performs glass-to-glass testing of a test AV system. The test AV system may be a transmitter device that senses AV stimuli and transmits an AV signal to a receiver device that displays video and provides an audio out/speaker of the audio. A light source and a sound source may be placed at the transmitter device. A light sensor and microphone/direct audio out connection may be placed at the receiver device. The automatic test tool may cycle synchronized light/sound stimuli to the transmitter device and measure the delay/latency times for audio, video, and AV synchronization at the receiver device. The automatic test tool may be comprised of a computer running user interface/test management software connected to a low cost FPGA that controls the video/sound sources and sensors to accurately measure both video and audio glass-to-glass latency/synchronization in a continuous, automatic, and self-calibrating manner.

A method for bidirectional gating between low parallelity devices in a network and a remote server with a higher parallelity capability. The method comprises: (a) intercepting a plurality of requests for a same content item stored on a remote server from a plurality of devices, said requests in a low parallelity protocol; (b) storing said requests as stored requests; (c) translating one of said requests to a high parallelity protocol to produce a translated request and relaying said translated request to said remote server; (d) additionally intercepting a response to said translated request from said remote server in, said response in said higher parallelity protocol; (e) additionally translating said response to said low parallelity protocol to produce a translated response and storing said translated response; and (f) filling each of said stored requests with said translated response.

A method of self-configuring a network device. The method includes transmitting non-unique structure information of a network device, from the network device to a configuration server, receiving, by the network device from the configuration server, one or more configuration parameter values responsive to the transmitted structure information and configuring the network device with the configuration parameter values.
