A system, method, means, and/or computer program code may be provided to facilitate query creation and a presentation of information to a user. According to some embodiments, continuous query definition parameters are received from a user via a graphical user interface. Moreover, semantic layer information associated with an event processing engine may be retrieved, the event processing engine being adapted to receive an event stream. Based on the continuous query definition parameters, a pre-fetch query may be automatically created to pre-fetch historical data from a database. An event processing language statement may also be created based on (i) the continuous query definition parameters and (ii) the semantic layer information. The event processing language statement may be provided to the complex event processing engine so as to establish a continuous query. A response to the query may be output based on both the pre-fetched historical data and events in the event stream.

Systems and methods to create continuous queries associated with push-type and pull-type data

A system, method, means, and/or computer program code may be provided to facilitate a presentation of information to a user. According to some embodiments, continuous query definition parameters are created by a user via a graphical user interface. Moreover, semantic layer information associated with an event processing engine may be provided. The event processing engine may, for example, receive an event stream from a data source. According to some embodiments, the semantic layer information is defined by a semantic layer designer via a graphical user interface. At least one event processing language statement may be created based on (i) the continuous query definition parameters and (ii) the semantic layer information. The statement may then be provided to the event processing engine so as to establish a continuous query at the event processing engine, the continuous query providing output data based on events in the event stream. According to some embodiments, a continuous meta-query for a complex event processing engine is initially created. When a connection with a business user is subsequently established, a continuous user-query is initiated based on the continuous meta-query.

Systems and methods to create continuous queries via a semantic layer

A system includes a data structure comprising a plurality of mesh entities, the data structure associating each of the plurality of mesh entities with a respective name and a respective one or more attribute values, and associating each of the plurality of mesh entities with one or more relations to one or more other ones of the plurality of mesh entities. Some aspects include reception of a file comprising text, identification of text entities from the text, identification of first mesh entities from the plurality of mesh entities based on the identified text entities, determination, for each of the first mesh entities, of a name and one or more attribute values, and determination of a relevance associated with each identified text entity based on the determined name and one or more attribute values.

Text analysis to identify relevant entities

A system, method, means, and/or computer program code may be provided to facilitate a presentation of business information to a user. According to some embodiments, a request from a client is received at a server, and the request is associated with a query. The server also receives notifications associated with business information and may block a connection with the client and/or a response to the request based on a determination that the business information does not currently satisfy a condition associated with the query (e.g., no such notification has been received). The server may subsequently determine the business information has changed and now satisfies the condition (e.g., when a notification is received). In this case, the server may unblock the connection and transmit a response, including new resulting data associated with the query, to the client.
