A gas barrier composite film is provided. The gas barrier composite film includes a substrate layer; a functional layer disposed on one or two sides of the substrate layer, wherein the functional layer includes a first copolymer of p-hydroxybenzoic acid and 6-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid, or a second copolymer of acrylic acid and vinylidene dichloride, and an inorganic stack layer disposed on the functional layer.

Gas barrier composite film

A liquid crystal polymer (LCP) composite film is provided. The LCP composite film includes 88 to 99 weight percent of a liquid crystal polymer based on the total weight of the LCP composite film and 1 to 12 weight percent of a toughening agent based on the total weight of the LCP composite film. The toughening agent includes a copolymer selected from a group consisting of a thermoplastic polyolefin elastomer, a glycidyl methacrylate copolymer, a polystyrene elastomer, a polyester elastomer, and a mixture thereof.

Provided is a low water-vapor permeable composite film, which includes a 3-layered co-extruded biaxial-oriented film formed of polyester films or polypropylene films including a first layer, a second layer and a third layer stacked in sequence. The first layer further includes an anti-block agent. An alternate structure including a plurality of organic protection layers and a plurality of inorganic layers are formed on the 3-layered co-extruded biaxial-oriented film. The plurality of organic protection layers and the plurality of inorganic layers are stacked alternately. The inorganic layers are formed by atom layer deposition.

Low water-vapor permeable composite film and packaging structure

The present invention provides an elastic multi-layer film including an oil-resistant layer consisting essentially of thermoplastic polyurethane; and a tie layer consisting essentially of a grafted polymer. The elastic multi-layer film is formed by co-extruding melted resins of the oil-resistant layer and the tie layer. The present invention further provides an elastic article including the elastic multi-layer film and thermoplastic elastomer gel, wherein the elastic article is formed by incorporation of the elastic multi-layer film and thermoplastic elastomer gel using in-molding labeling and injection method.

A gas-barrier heat-seal composite film is provided. The gas-barrier heat-seal composite film includes a heat-seal layer including very low density polyethylene (VLDPE), low density polyethylene (LDPE), linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE), high density polyethylene (HDPE), metallocene polyethylene (mPE), metallocene linear low density polyethylene (mLLDPE), ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer, ethylene-propylene (EP) copolymer or ethylene-propylene-butene (EPB) terpolymer, and a gas-barrier layer formed on the heat-seal layer, wherein the gas-barrier layer includes a plurality of composite layers, each including a polymer substrate and a single layer or multiple layers of metal or oxide thereof which is formed on one side or both sides of the polymer substrate, and the polymer substrate includes uniaxial-stretched or biaxial-stretched polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), polyimide (PI), ethylene/vinyl alcohol (EVOH) copolymer or a combination thereof. The invention also provides a vacuum insulation panel including the composite film.

A multilayer battery separator is provided. The multilayer battery separator includes a porous polyethylene (PE) film, and a porous thermal resistant film selected from a group consisting of: a weight ratio of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and cellulose of 90/10-40/60; a weight ratio of polyvinylidene fluoride and polyethylene glycol (PEG) of 99/1-85/15; and polyimide (PI), and combinations thereof. A water-vapor permeable film. The film includes 90&#x2dc;99 wt % polyurethane (PU) and 1&#x2dc;10 wt % polyethylene (PE). The invention also provides a textile including the film.

Water-vapor permeable films and textiles

Disclosed is a co-extruded water-proof and moisture-permeable film structure, including a top skin layer, a core layer, and a bottom skin layer. The top and bottom skin layers include polyolefin or polyurethane and the core layer comprise polyurethane. The core layer is disposed between the top and bottom skin layers. If polyurethane is adopted in top and/or bottom skin layers, the polyurethane of the skin layers has lower moisture and vapor permeability than the polyurethane of the core layer. The described film can be manufactured by co-extruded bubble blown or co-extruded casting. In addition, the film can be laminated to a fabric to form a water-proof and moisture-permeable textile.
