A dipole antenna structure that includes a sheet of metal that forms elements of a dipole antenna. The sheet of metal includes a first arm, and a second arm connected to the first arm, and formed substantially co-planar with, and non-parallel to, the first arm. The sheet of metal further includes at least one impedance matching element connected to the first arm and the second arm, where the at least one impedance matching element is formed in the sheet of metal at an angle relative to a plane that coincides with the substantially co-planar first and second arms.

Multi-band stamped sheet metal antenna

A system includes a radio frequency (RF) connector terminal that is configured to connect to an antenna, and a RF transmitter that transmits RF power to the RF connector terminal. The system further includes a power measurement unit that measures, as a first power measurement, first RF power of the RF transmitter power that is reflected via the RF connector terminal, and a controller that causes a transmission path discontinuity between the RF transmitter and the RF connector terminal. The power measurement unit further measures, as a second power measurement, second RF power of the RF transmitter power that is reflected from the discontinuity. The controller further determines if a first antenna is connected to the RF connector terminal based on the first and second power measurements.

Antenna detection using antenna return loss

An antenna includes a first folded dipole, and a second folded dipole connected in parallel to the first folded dipole. The antenna further includes a conductor that extends across a first gap in the first folded dipole and a second gap in the second folded dipole to connect to a first central section of the first folded dipole and to a second central section of the second folded dipole.

Compact folded dipole antenna with multiple frequency bands

An antenna includes a first folded dipole having a first central region, and a second folded dipole having a second central region and connected in parallel to the first folded dipole. The antenna further includes a first pair of tuning stubs extending into the first central region of the first folded dipole, and a second pair of tuning stubs extending into the second central region of the second folded dipole.

Multi-band planar antenna

A connector assembly connects a coaxial cable, having a first coaxial connector, to a second coaxial connector. The connector assembly includes the coaxial cable conductively connected to a proximal end of the coaxial cable; and an outer housing member having a proximal end and a distal end. The outer housing member includes an internal lumen containing the proximal end of the coaxial cable and at least partially containing the first coaxial connector; a concavity at the proximal end of the outer housing member, wherein the concavity includes an opening that is contiguous with the internal lumen; and a first interlocking connector element in the concavity. The connector assembly further includes at least one sealing body within the internal lumen of the outer housing member, the at least one sealing body forming a watertight seal between the housing and the cable, and a resilient compressible surface surrounding the first coaxial connector.

Waterproof coaxial cable connector

An antenna having a radiator comprising a conduct in a closed path driven by a plurality of microstrips connecting the radiator to a common, single feed and to a ground plane, with the radiator lying in a plane parallel to that of the ground plane. The radiator may be annular, with the feed located in its center. The relative location of the feed on the microstrips allows a lower input impedance to be leveraged to match a higher load impedance of the radiator. A single-ended input drives all points of the radiator substantially in phase. In another embodiment, the antenna comprises a cylindrical choke one-quarter wavelength in length placed around the coax feed and connected to the underside of the ground plane.
