Provided is a wireless 12-lead or multiple unipolar-lead electrocardiograph system without cable connection between a measurement electrode and device body. The present invention includes a measurement electrode that acquires an electrocardiographic signal of a subject, a Wilson terminal that is connected to the measurement electrode and forms an indifferent electrode, and an electrocardiograph body that generates an electrocardiogram. The measurement electrode has active measurement electrodes that wirelessly communicate with the electrocardiograph body, and passive measurement electrodes that are connected to the active measurement electrodes, and the Wilson terminal. The electrocardiograph body generates the electrocardiogram on the basis of a lead signal sent by the active measurement electrodes.

A derived electrocardiogram generating system includes: a personal coefficient database which stores personal coefficients specific to a subject, the personal coefficients being acquired from the subject; a population coefficient database which stores population coefficients which are average values of conversion coefficients acquired from an unspecified large number of persons belonging to a statistically significant population; and an electrocardiograph control portion: which generates a derived electrocardiogram of the subject using the personal coefficients when the personal coefficients are present in the personal coefficient database; and which generates a derived electrocardiogram of the subject using the population coefficients when the personal coefficients are absent in the personal coefficient database.

In order to derive a standard 12-lead electrocardiogram, ones of limb leads and chest leads which constitute a lead system for the standard 12-lead electrocardiogram using 10 electrodes are selected. Method for deriving standard 12-lead electrocardiogram, and monitoring apparatus using the same

A plurality of electrodes for measuring electrocardiogarphic waveforms are attached on body surface positions that constitute a subset of the standard 12-lead system. The measured electrocardiogarphic waveforms of said subset of said standard 12-lead system are used to calculate the electrocardiogarphic waveforms of remaining leads in the said standard 12-lead system. The measured and calculated electrocardiographic waveforms are synthesized to form a standard 12-lead electrocardiogram. The invention is capable of monitoring the 12-lead electrocardiogram with a reduced number of electrodes, wherein a portion of waveforms are directly measured and used as primary information for diagnosing heart disease, and the other portion of waveforms are derived from the measured leads and are used as a secondary information for improving the accuracy of diagnosis. The invention is especially useful in monitoring ischemic heart disease and acute myocardial infarction in cases where mounting and maintaining ten electrodes to obtain 12-lead electrocardiogram is difficult, such as in ambulatory monitoring, long-term monitoring and home monitoring.

Method of deriving standard 12-lead electrocardiogram and electrocardiogram monitoring apparatus

A method and apparatus is disclosed to reduce noise which overlaps detected signals in a common frequency band for detection of distributed signals from multiple measurement points. The method decomposes a input signal into a noise-free part called basic signal and a noise-overlapping part called residual signal. Noise contained in residual signal is recognized by comparing it with a comparison signal. The comparison signal corresponding to a measurement point is computed by a linear combination of all other points weighted with parameters which reflect amplitude relationship of distributed signals and are calculated during a learning phase at the beginning of measurement. With residual signal and corresponding comparison signal, a noise index is calculated and then used to extract signal components from the residual signal. The extracted signal components are added to basic signal as the output of the method. The method is effective in reducing signal-overlapping noise with little distortion of signal.
