A tunable microwave system includes at least two elements, each element being chosen from a propagating guide, an evanescent guide, a resonator, and at least one coupling device arranged between the two elements and configured to couple the two elements to each other, the coupling device having a holder having an aperture and having at least one elongate element the shape of which is elongate in a polarization direction contained in a plane of the aperture, the elongate element being securely fastened to the perimeter of the aperture at at least one end, the coupling device being configured to be rotatable about an axis substantially perpendicular to the plane of the aperture so as to modify a value of the polarization direction and so that the coupling between the two elements is dependent on the value of the polarization direction.

A radiofrequency filter exhibiting at least one resonant mode comprises: at least one cavity at least partially closed using conductive walls, having a cylindrical outer surface defined by a directing curve described by a generatrix and having a point of symmetry, an axis passing through a point of symmetry and parallel to the generatrix being a longitudinal axis of the cavity. At least one dielectric element is arranged in the cavity and comprises: a first portion having a thickness according to the longitudinal axis and a section according to a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis whose vertices are distributed according to a polygon, at least two vertices being short-circuited between them by the conductive walls of the cavity, via an electrical or radiofrequency contact between the vertices and walls, at least one pyramidal portion comprising an apex and a base coinciding with an extreme section of the first portion.

Radiofrequency filter with dielectric element

A frequency tunable microwave bandpass filter comprises a resonator, including: a cavity with conducting wall substantially cylindrical with axis Z having height H, and partially closed at both ends; and a dielectric element inside the cavity. The resonator resonates at two perpendicular polarizations having distributions of electromagnetic field in the cavity deduced from eachother by 90&#xb0; rotation. The element rotates about an axis substantially perpendicular to axis Z, between a first and second position. The element comprises a first end wherein: in a first position the element is disposed substantially in a plane perpendicular to axis Z and the center of the first end is disposed at a height in the cavity corresponding substantially to an electric field minimum; and in a second position the element is substantially parallel to Z and the first end is disposed in a plane corresponding to an electric field maximum within +/&#x2212;30%.

Bandpass microwave filter tunable by a 90 degree rotation of a dielectric element between first and second positions

A bandpass filter for microwave-frequency wave which is frequency tunable, comprises at least one resonator. Each resonator comprises a cavity having a conducting wall substantially cylindrical in relation to an axis Z, and at least one dielectric element disposed inside the cavity. The resonator resonates on two perpendicular polarizations having respectively distributions of the electromagnetic field in the cavity that are deduced from one another by a rotation of 90&#xb0; and according to one and the same frequency. The wall of the cavity comprises an insert section facing the element having a different shape from a section not situated facing the element. The insert section and the element are able to perform a rotation with respect to one another in relation to the axis Z so as to define at least a first and a second relative position differing by an angle substantially equal to 45&#xb0; to within 20&#xb0;.

The invention relates to a multi port router device capable of carrying a number P, which is greater than or equal to three, of frequency channels, from a number M of input ports to a number N of output ports, at least one of the two numbers M and N being greater than or equal to two, characterized in that it includes at least two filters (), each filter comprising at least two coupled resonators, at least one resonator (Rs, Rs) being common to two different filters, and each input port and each output port being connected directly to at least one resonator. The router device is capable of appropriately performing routing in which it is possible to supply on at least one output port an output multiplex having at least a first and a second frequency channel, among which: the first frequency channel has originated from a first input multiplex, supplied on a first input port and comprising said first frequency channel, and at least one further frequency channel forwarded to a second output port of the device; and the second frequency channel is either forwarded from a second input port, or, when the first input multiplex comprises at least three different multiplexed frequency channels, the second frequency channel originates from the first input multiplex, the first second frequency channels, being frequentially disposed on both sides of a third frequency channel, with the said third frequency channel being routed to a different output port.

A frequency-tunable microwave-frequency wave filter with dielectric resonator, comprises a metallic cavity and at least one stack along a rotation axis, the resonator-forming stack being disposed inside the cavity and comprising at least a first and a second element each made of dielectric material, the second element being mobile in rotation with respect to the first element around the rotation axis and exhibiting a first position and at least one second position separated by an angle of rotation, and the elements exhibiting shapes such that the overall geometry of the stack is different in the at least two positions, the stack forming a first resonator adapted so that the filter exhibits a first central frequency when the second element is in the first position, and forming a second resonator adapted so that the filter exhibits a second central frequency when the second element is in the second position.

Frequency-tunable microwave-frequency wave filter with a dielectric resonator including at least one element that rotates

A filter of longitudinal axis Z includes: at least one resonant cavity delimited by walls made of a material that has a non-zero expansion coefficient; a dielectric resonator mounted in the cavity transversally to the axis Z; a mechanical device for compensating at least one resonance frequency of the cavity as a function of the temperature. The compensation device comprises: at least one rotationally mobile finger for each mode and for each cavity, the mobile finger penetrating to a fixed depth into the cavity via a pivot link, and an external mechanical actuator mounted parallel to the axis Z and mechanically coupled to the mobile finger, the external mechanical actuator being made of a material that has a coefficient of thermal expansion at least five times lower than that of the walls of the filter.

Microwave filter with dielectric resonator

A radiofrequency circuit embedded onboard a satellite, data being transmitted on several channels by radiofrequency signals, includes a channel corresponding to a frequency band, and a succession of gains being able to be associated with a channel so as to generate the radiofrequency signal to be transmitted on the latter. The succession includes at least one variable-gain amplifier, the radiofrequency signals thus generated being multiplexed by a multiplexer composed of bandpass filters. The successions of gains comprise a power load arranged so as to dissipate the power of signals which is reflected by the filters of the multiplexer, said load including means for generating an alarm signal representative of the power level of the reflected signals, the alarm signal being used to control the gain of the variable-gain amplifier.
