A downhole flow control device comprises a body locatable within a wall of a tubular, wherein the body defines a flow path therethrough to accommodate flow in reverse first and second directions between internal and external locations of the tubular in use. The downhole flow control device further comprises a regulator member mounted within the body and being moveable between first and second positions in accordance with flow direction through the body. The regulator member is locatable in the first position during flow through the body in the first direction to provide a first restriction to flow. The regulator member is locatable in the second position during flow through the body in the second direction to provide a second restriction to flow.

Downhole flow control device and method

A method of anchoring a morphable tubular in a wellbore includes providing a first tubular member including an expandable portion having an anchoring system arranged around a circumference thereof, the anchoring system including a gripper element, two wedge elements having inclined surfaces oriented to engage two oppositely arranged inclined surfaces of the gripper element, wherein each wedge element includes a beam spring, which are oppositely arranged to act against the inclined surfaces of the gripper element, locating the expandable portion in an existing tubular in a wellbore, introducing fluid pressure to an inner surface of the expandable portion and morphing the expandable portion towards the existing tubing so that the gripper element engages an inner surface of the existing tubing, reducing the fluid pressure, and maintaining engagement of the gripper element on the inner surface by action of the at least one beam spring axially on the gripper element.

Morphable anchor

Apparatus and method for anchoring a morphable tubular in a wellbore in which an anchoring system is arranged around the circumference of an expandable portion of the tubular member. The anchoring system has a gripper element with oppositely arranged inclined surfaces and wedge elements having inclined surfaces mutually arranged on either side of the gripper element with at least one of the wedge elements being a beam spring. Following morphing of the tubular member the anchoring system is configured to maintain the gripper element in a radially extended position by action of the at least one beam spring and thereby increase the load bearing capacity of the morphed tubular member in the wellbore.

A downhole actuator () comprises a tubular housing () which includes an indexing profile () on an inner surface thereof, and an indexing sleeve () mounted within the housing (). The indexing sleeve () comprises an engaging arrangement including first and second axially spaced engagement members () which cooperate with the indexing profile () of the housing () to be sequentially engaged by an actuation object () passing through a central bore () of the indexing sleeve () to drive the indexing sleeve () one discrete step of movement through the housing () towards an actuation site.

Downhole apparatus and method

A downhole tool () comprises a tool housing () defining a central bore () and including a fluid port (), and a valve member () mounted within the housing () and being moveable from a closed position in which the fluid port () is blocked to an open position in which the fluid port () is opened. The tool () further comprises a catching arrangement () mounted within the housing () and comprising one or more radially moveable seat members (), and being configurable from a free configuration in which the seat members () permit an object () to pass through the tool (), to a catching configuration in which the seat members () catch an object () passing through the tool ().

A downhole shifting tool () for shifting a downhole component () comprises a body with a positioning arrangement () provided on the body for engaging or interacting with a downhole component to provide alignment of the shifting tool with said component. The tool further includes a connecting member () provided on the body and being moveable to selectively engage a connection profile of the downhole component.

A valve assembly comprises a conduit having a throughbore and defining a longitudinal axis, a sealing member that is moveable between an open configuration in which the throughbore of the conduit is open, and a sealing configuration in which the sealing member is arranged to substantially obturate the throughbore of the conduit, wherein in the sealing configuration, the sealing member seals the throughbore along a sealing line at least a part of which is angled relative to a direction perpendicular to the axis of the throughbore.
