A vapour generating device is arranged to receive solid vapour generating material. The vapour generating device includes a vapour generating chamber which is arranged to contain the solid vapour generating material and a closure for the vapour generating chamber. The closure is arranged to define a first passageway between the exterior of the vapour generating device and the vapour generating chamber when the closure is in a closed position, such that the first passageway allows air to enter the vapour generating chamber.

Vapour generating device

A portable aerosol-generating device for receiving an aerosol-generating substance includes a chamber arranged to receive an aerosol-generating substance and an aerosol-generating unit configured to generate an aerosol from the aerosol-generating substance for a user to inhale in use. The chamber is configured to be releasably inserted into the device through an opening in the device. This allows the chamber to be removed from the device and cleaned between consecutive uses of the device.

A vapour generating device includes an oven arranged to receive a substrate to be vapourized, an inlet, an outlet, an airflow passageway for providing a fluid connection between the inlet and the outlet via the oven through which generated vapour can flow from the oven to the outlet. A device controller and a humidity sensor for generating a measurement of a vapour produced by the substrate are provided. The controller is operable to control the operation of the device based on measurement data from the humidity sensor.
