Apparatus for coating a pipe. The apparatus includes a first frame to be mounted on a pipe and a second frame rotatably mounted on the first frame. An induction heating coil comprised of electrical conductors is mounted on the apparatus. A coating applicator is mounted on the second frame and is arranged to apply coating onto a surface of the pipe on which the apparatus is mounted. The first frame, second frame and coating applicator are arranged such that when the apparatus is mounted on the pipe, the applicator is disposed to one side of the induction heating coil and able to apply coating to a surface of the pipe alongside the surface of the pipe underlying the induction heating coil. The first frame may be operable between an open state in which the frame may be placed over and removed from a pipe and a closed state in which the frame may capture a pipe thereby to mount the apparatus on the pipe.

Apparatus for coating pipes

An apparatus for heating a pipe, having at least one heating unit, at least one temperature sensor and a controller, wherein the controller is arranged to control the at least one heating unit in dependence on the temperature measured by the temperature sensor.

Apparatus and method for heating a pipe

Apparatus for coating pipes includes means for applying a sheet material, to a pipeand means for heatingthe sheet material and/or pipe. The means for heating may be operative to heat the sheet material during its application to the pipe. The means for heating may comprise a means for directing hot air towards the pipe and/or sheet material. The sheet material may be disposed on reels housed in canistersthat are releasably mounted on the apparatus.

Apparatus and method for coating pipes

Apparatus for spraying a coating onto the outside of a pipe includes a body for mounting on a pipe to be coated. A spray gun is mounted on the body such that it can move relative to the body to spray coating completely around the periphery of the pipe. The apparatus may include only a single spray gun which is able to travel in a 360 degree range of motion around the periphery of the pipe. The apparatus is particularty suited to coating girth welds of a pipeline.
