An ergonomically adjustable machine operator platform includes a worker support surface which includes a top surface and a bottom, a plurality of support legs disposed on a floor, wherein each support leg includes an external threaded surface portion, a drive member operably connected to each support leg and having an inner threaded bored surface therethrough which is configured to be complimentary threaded to the external threaded surface portion in a manner to permit axial movement along the support leg and wherein the drive member includes a bearing support surface disposed adjacent the bottom. The drive member further includes an exterior sprocket surface extending generally radially from the drive member, and a rotating device connected to the external sprocket surface for rotating the drive member to cause axial movement along the support leg to vertically move the worker support surface.

Ergonomically adjustable machine operator platform

An existing sheet material feeder has a feed tray which holds sheet material in an on-edge orientation in which side surfaces of the sheet material are generally vertical. An apparatus is provided to convert the sheet material feeder to one having a feed tray which holds sheet material in a lying-down orientation in which side surfaces of the sheet material are generally horizontal. The apparatus for converting the on-edge sheet material feeder to the lying-down sheet material feeders includes a frame having a pair of parallel side sections. A single sheet material feed drum is disposed between and is connected with the side sections. The side sections are connected with side sections of the existing collator conveyor sheet material feeder.

Apparatus for converting a sheet material feeder from on edge to bottom

A release assembly is mounted adjacent a track to release selected ones of a plurality of gripper clamps movable along the track past the release assembly. The release assembly includes a cam mounted for movement relative to the track between a first position in which the cam is engageable by a gripper clamp moving along the track, to open the gripper clamp, and a second position in which the cam is spaced from and not engageable by the moving gripper clamp. The release assembly includes a rotary actuator selectively operable to move the cam between its first and second positions. The release assembly includes an overcenter linkage for blocking movement of the cam out of its first position toward its second position upon engagement by a moving gripper clamp.
