A wood screw includes a head end, a shank and a tapered end, the head end including a tool engaging part, the head end located at a first end of the shank and the tapered end located at a second end of the shank. A thread is formed along the shank. The head end includes a neck running from the first end of the shank to a head cap, wherein the head cap includes an underside facing the tapered end, wherein the underside includes a plurality of serrations extending around the underside, each serration having a leading face and a trailing face that define a cutting edge, wherein the trailing face of each serration tapers away from the tapered end. A reaming section may be provided between the thread and the head end. The thread may include a notch configuration. The thread may be a dual start thread.

Wood screw

An anchor assembly for hanging an object on a wall includes a first anchor component and a second anchor component. The second anchor component is pivotably associated with the first anchor component for movement between an anchoring orientation and a non-anchoring orientation to enable staged installation of the anchor assembly into a wall. At least one wall penetrating retainer extends from each of the first and second anchor components. When the second anchor component is in the anchoring orientation a curved configuration of the wall penetrating extent of the retainer of the second anchor component opposes a curved configuration of the wall penetrating extent of the retainer of the first anchor component to form a jaw-type arrangement.

Wall anchor assemblies and related wall mount systems

An apparatus for supporting an object on a wall includes a wall member including a rear side defining a wall mount plane to be held against a wall surface and a recess defined at least in part by a front wall portion. A frame member includes a frame mount section and an arm extending downward from the frame mount section for positioning down into the recess of the wall member for support. The front wall portion and the arm are configured such that an interaction of the arm and a rear surface of the front wall portion during a downward movement of the arm into the recess, while the frame mount section is spaced away from the wall surface, will cause at least one of the front wall portion or the arm to move.

Apparatus for suspending objects on a wall

A structural screw usable in multiple different substrates/materials includes a head end, a shank and a tapered end, the head end including a tool engaging part, the head end located at a first end of the shank and the tapered end located at a second end of the shank. A thread is formed along the shank, wherein the thread begins on the tapered end, extends onto the shank and terminates at a first axial location along the shank that is spaced from the head end. The thread (i) is a multiple start thread formed by at least a first helical thread and a second helical thread and/or (ii) includes a thread angle of between fifteen degrees and thirty degrees. The screw may also include a reaming section with leading and trailing wedge sections and/or an asymmetric notch pattern along at least part of the thread edge.

Structural screw

An anchor assembly for anchoring an object on a wall includes a first anchor component and second anchor component, each anchor component pivotable relative to the assembly and having a back side and a front side, and each anchor component having at least one curved wall penetrating retainer extending therefrom. The anchor assembly has an install orientation in the wall in which the wall penetrating retainer of each anchor component is inserted within the wall for a jaw-type grip of the wall.

Wall anchors and related wall mount systems

An anchor assembly for hanging an object on a wall includes a first anchor component and a second anchor component. The first anchor component includes a base having front, back, top, bottom, left and right sides, and at least one wall penetrating retainer extending from the base and having a wall penetrating extent that protrudes rearwardly of the base and has a downwardly curved configuration. The second anchor component includes a base having front, back, top, bottom, left and right sides, at least one wall penetrating retainer extending from the base of the second anchor component and having a wall penetrating extent that protrudes rearwardly of the base of the second anchor component and has a curved configuration. The second anchor component is pivotably associated with the first anchor component for movement between an anchoring orientation and a non-anchoring orientation.

Wall anchor assemblies

A wall anchors in the form of a base with one or more wall penetrating retainers having respective wall penetrating extents that are curved. The retainers and base are configured to enable manual insertion onto wall without the use of tools.

Wall anchors

A hook rail assembly for hanging objects on a wall includes an elongated rail member for abutting the wall, at least one anchor component connected to a back side of the rail member and at least one hook member positioned at a front side of the rail member. The anchor component including a base and at least one wall penetrating retainer, the wall penetrating retainer having a wall penetrating extent that that protrudes rearwardly of the rail member and has a curved configuration. The wall penetrating extent may be arcuate and have a radius of curvature with a center point proximate a bottom side of the rail member.

Hook rail

A hinge arrangement includes a first hinge plate assembly including a pivot housing movable about a pivot axis and including a threaded adjustment pin transverse to the pivot axis away from the housing. A second hinge plate assembly includes an adjustment housing, the adjustment housing including a threaded portion. The threaded adjustment pin is threaded into the adjustment housing to connect the first hinge plate assembly to the second hinge plate assembly. Relative rotation between the threaded adjustment pin and the threaded portion of the adjustment housing causes the second hinge plate assembly to move along a length of the threaded adjustment pin, altering a spacing between a mount plate portion of the first hinge plate assembly and a mount plate portion of the second hinge plate assembly. A connection between the pivot housing and the first hinge plate assembly may include a torsional and/or gravity closing bias.
