The instant invention relates in general to the field of pain relief, and related methods of use, and more particularly, to topical or oral formulations for pain relief. The formulation comprises spilanthol, pellitorine, pro-vitamin B5, and optionally menthol and beta-caryophyllene. The formulations can be used to treat joint pain. The formulations can also be used to treat Alzheimer's disease and Sjogren's Syndrome.

In one aspect, this invention relates to a method for treating pain and subsequent resulting conditions. In yet another aspect, this invention relates to formulating agents to rapidly reverse painful conditions.
